Kade's Conquest (COMPLETED)

7. Breakfast

Kade's POV 

"Vi, you are having breakfast with Thea today right?", I asked my sister who was getting ready in her room. 

"Yeah, why?", she asked me while meeting my eyes through the mirror where she was applying make up. 

"Mind if I join you?", I ask her while scratching the back of my neck.  

"Did you both resolve your issues?"

"I came clean about everything and I hope to apologize until she does forgive me", I tell her sincerely. 

"Okay, you can come. Just don't piss her off okay?" 

"I will try my best", I say with a sly smirk and she shakes her head in amusement. 

"We will leave in five minutes. We have to pick her up from the hospital", she says and I nod my head and head back to my room to get ready. 

"And try to cover that ugly face of yours. I don't need extra attention by your stupid female fans", she screams and I laugh loudly. 

"My face is more handsome than any of your boy toys, Violet", I yell back and hear her cussing at me. I laugh again and close the door to my room. I quickly take a small shower as I still can't take a full blown one yet and wear a black ripped jeans with a white t-shirt. I mess my hair a little and apply my favorite cologne. 

"Let's go Mr. Asshole. Try not to act desperate, alright?", she says with a smirk and I laugh and shake my head. 

We take her car and Tom starts driving towards the hospital. I am still pissed that my wrist has not yet completely recovered which restricts my movements all the f*****g time. 

When we reach the hospital, Thea messages Violet to come inside as we will have to wait for a few minutes. We both get out of the car and I immediately pull on my sunglasses and a hat as I don't want anyone to recognize me. 

"Now that we are here anyway, why don't you get yourself checked?", Vi says and I nod in agreement. I approach the reception where the nurse is sitting, while going through some charts, I presume. 

"Excuse me, can tell me where I can find Dr. Thea?", I ask her and she looks up at me and then looks back at something on the computer. 

"She should be around here somewhere. She had a consult", she informs me and I nod my head.

"Can you page her for me?"

"Why would I do that?"

"Because we are here to see her?", I say, my face showing my confusion. 

"I am sorry sir, but I cannot do that until I have a real reason to page her", she says and I rake a hand through my already messed up hair. 

"Fine. Thank you for your help", with that we turn around and sit on the bench and that is when I finally see her. She is busy talking to some patient I guess. She is looks absolutely beautiful in the simple attire that she is adorning. Her hair are again put in a messy bun on top of her head and she is barely wearing any make up not that she needs it anyway. She sees Violet first and then her eyes find mine and confusion is clear in her stare. She gestures for us to wait for two minutes as she finishes up with the patient. 

"I am so sorry you guys had to wait", Thea says as she approaches us with an apologetic smile. 

"That's okay. We waited only for a few minutes", I answer and she answers with a simple nod. 

"Dr. Thea?", I hear a small voice calling her and she looks down to see a three year old clutching on her coat. 

"Tim? What's wrong honey?", she asks in a honey laced voice and bends down to his level. 

"Mom said you are going to let her go home?", he asks in his baby voice and a genuine smile adorns Thea's beautiful face. 

"That's right honey. You can take your mom home tomorrow", she says and the boy hugs Thea tightly. Thea laughs and hugs him back while patting him on the back. After they broke apart the buys runs to his mom, all the while squealing happily. 

"Looks like, you made his day", Violet comments and Thea chuckles. 

"The poor guy thought his mom was seriously ill but that's not the case and we are tired of trying to convince him otherwise", she chuckles again. 

"Let's go, shall we ladies?", I ask and both of them nod. Thea removes her coat and hands it to the nurse at the reception and tells her to page her in case of any emergency. 

We all head out towards our car and get in. Violet sits in the middle while Thea and me sit on either of her sides. 

"So, I didn't know you were coming as well", Thea says. 

"I can leave if you want", I say and her eyes widen. 

"I did not mean it that way. You can stay, of course", she says and I chuckle. 

"I know you didn't. I was just messing with you", I say and wink at her and in turn she blushes. Violet laughs too and the entire ride to the cafe is filled with mindless talks. 

"When do you think I will be able to get back to the shoot?", I grumble making the two laugh at me. 

"Soon Kade. You need to heal properly. Give it a week and then I think you will be back to your routine but nothing vigorous as the stitches might hurt", she says and I nod my head in approval. 

"Can't wait to get my ass to the set", I says and they both laugh again. 

"What are you having?"

"I will have a latte with muffins", Violet answers and closes the menu.

"I will have nutella waffles with a side dish of fruits", Thea tells the waiter who is shamelessly checking her out. I roll y eyes and take out my sunglasses and remove the hat. 

"I will have same as her", I gesture towards Thea and he nods. He finally looks at me and his face morphs in disbelief. 

"Kade Ryder?!", he says and I groan silently while putting up a smile on my face. 

"Can I get an autograph?!", he says and I smile and sign on the paper that he gives me.

"That is the reason I don't want to go anywhere with you", Vi grumbles making us both laugh. 

"But seriously, this must be hard right? Not being able to live a normal life, visit the public places without attracting attention?", Thea asks and I agree with her. 

"It is but this is the life that I have chosen and I don't regret anything even for a second", I tell her honestly and she nods her head with a smile. 

As we were all talking, Vi's phone starts ringing and she excuses herself. 

"So, have you thought about what we talked about at place that night?", I ask, while nervously waiting for her to answer. 

"As a matter of fact, I did. I thought a lot on it and i have come to a conclusion that we can start afresh. I think, we can be friends if and only if you don't pull anything shitty like this, ever again", she says and I swear my heart skipped a beat.

"I won't let you down, I swear", I promise and she smile that gorgeous smile of hers. I know I still feel something for her but for now, I need to work on earning her trust and developing our friendship. 

Our order arrives and at the same time Vi comes back to the table. We eat the food while cracking jokes in between and talking about everything that happened in the span of ten years. 

"Did you date anyone then?", Vi asks Thea who shrugs. 

"Yeah. I dated two guys but that didn't work out well as I was always busy and couldn't give them much time", she says and we both mod. 

"What about you Vi?"

"I tried but nope I couldn't and I have no idea why", she says and I smirk as I know the reason behind that. She hopelessly in love with Cameron and it is so obvious. 

"Kade?"

"Oh don't get me started on his endeavors. He is always with a new one every week", Vi says with a hint of irritation in her voice and I shrug. 

"Don't blame me. I am a man with needs and anyways none of these girls are worth settling down for", I tell them honestly and my eyes find Thea immediately.

"Hmm", that's all she says in response and we finish up eating. After a lot of arguing between Thea and myself, I finally pay for our food much to her irritation. This just proves that she an independent woman and hates being spoiled. 

"I would have paid, Kade", Thea says and I roll my eyes. 

"What kind of a gentleman would I be if I let a woman pay?"

"Next time, I am paying and I don't want any argument on that", she says with a piercing glare. My heart flutter at the thought of meeting her again and I nod my head. 

"Fine. I will let you pay, once", I say while stressing on the last word. She rolls her eyes and chuckles while we all get in the car. 

"Thank you much guys. I had fun today", Thea says while looking at both of us. 

"Same. It was so good to catch up with you", Vi says while smiling at her best friend. 

"Yeah, it was really fun", I say and she nods, smiling. 

We reach the hospital and we all get out. Violet hugs Thea and tells her to met again soon. Thea, then turns towards me and hugs me. I stood frozen for a second before hugging her back. 

"Thank you Thea", I whisper in her ear and she shivers for a second before nodding her head. 

After she goes inside, Thea and I get inside the car. Vi has to go to the office so we will be dropping her off first and then heading home. 

I can still feel Thea's sweet lavender smell surrounding me. She smelled like a sin waiting to be committed and I swear I am addicted to it. 

I am royally screwed but I won't have it any other way.
