J e a n Marked me? I looked at Curtis in between bewilderment and confusion because I had a feeling that the mark he was talking about was the bite. "What mark?" I asked. Curtis was smiling and then it was replaced by a frown. "The bite. Jean, I could smell Dos all over you." Curtis said and I was stunned. My hand went unconsciously to the side of my neck like I was checking if the bite was still there but there were no marks. How did Curtis know? Was the bite really real? Curtis also was stunned by my reaction. "Holy s**t! He didn't tell you about it?" Curtis asked. "I-uhh, no. I don't know anything. Is it real then? I thought I was only dreaming." I said and Curtis face palmed. "That i***t!" "Curtis, what's happening?" I asked, confused. I actually don't know anything. What the hell are they talking about? How did Curtis found out about the bite? Was it only a dream? What does he mean by he could smell Dos from me? What? Curtis held my hand and dragged me out of the building, towards the dorm while I was only looking down. "You i***t! Come out!" Curtis called as he opened their dorm room. "Curtis, it's fine." I said as he dragged me inside their bedroom. It feels like Curtis was angry at Dos and I don't want them to fight. Curtis stopped and I looked inside their room. It was empty and Dos' scent was strong and it gave me a very strange feeling like wanting to see him. "You should take a seat first. I will call Dos." Curtis motioned his hand to Dos' bed. "How about class?" I asked. According to the time, the first class just started. "Let's cut the first one." Curtis said nonchalantly and I was a little bit worried but I was more worried about Dos so I walked to the bed and sits down. "Okay." Curtis looked at me as placed the phone in his ear waiting for Dos to pick up the call. My heart skipped a beat when Dos answered. "Can't talk right now." Dos said from the other line before Curtis inhaled and release what he was going to say and then the call was cut. "That i***t!" Curtis exclaimed and made another call but it says that the phone he was calling was turned off. I didn't know what to react, to be honest. Dos sounded like he was in a rush and I could hear from the background that he was driving. Did Dos hates seeing me after what happened? Was he starting to regret having a relationship with me? I feel like I lost all my strength thinking about it. My hand touched the place of the bite. "Curtis, is the bite true?" I asked again. Curtis looked at me. "I shouldn't be the one explaining you about that thing but yes, the bite is true." "How come there's no mark? I did remember getting bitten but why is there no mark?" Curtis looked troubled as he sat beside me. "It had a mark but it healed faster." I frowned. "Heal faster? That's impossible." "I know it sounds impossible but you'll understand someday." I still can't understand what was happening. "Does this involves my eyesight too? I can clearly see everything without wearing my contacts and I don't know if I was imagining it but I can hear things even from a distance and smell too." "Believe me, it's because of the mark." Curtis said. "Don't get bothered too much about it. I will haunt Dos and bring his ass in front of you." He said. I still couldn't help but feel bothered since it wasn't what I used to be. I sighed and nodded my head while thinking where Dos was right now. Does he really not want to see me? That thought made my heart hurt as if something was squeezing it. I just breathed in and out slowly before standing up. Curtis and I went back to attend our classes and it was strange how Harry was staring at me so intently when I took a seat beside him. "Harry, I was late so I didn't attend the first class." I said and he blinked. "Did not Dos picked you up?" He asked. "Uh, no. He's absent today." I said. "You could have called me so we can go to school together like before." "Yeah, but I just knew from Curtis." I said and Harry frowned. "He didn't tell you?" "Maybe he has something urgent to attend to." "That's ridiculous!" Harry groaned and turned to face the board then turned back to me. "I will punch him the moment I see his face." I could see that he was truly angry and I didn't want them to start a fight again just when they were already on good terms. "Harry, why would you do that?" "He promised me not to hurt you." I looked at him. "He didn't hurt me." To be honest, I was hurting but I didn't want to think too much and I was touched how Harry can see right through me and was ready to defend me. Harry looked at me and sighed then placed his hand on top of mine. "Jean, don't ever hesitate to tell me if that asshole hurts you. I will beat his face until it's unrecognizable." "Harry." I warned in a whisper like voice and he let go of my hand then sat straight. "Thank you." I sincerely said. Harry smiled and I gave him a warm smile also. "C'mon, you know I'll do anything for you." Harry said and my heart softened. I could say that Harry was my guardian angel. He was always there when I am in trouble and he comforts me if I am feeling down even without me telling him about my feelings. He just could see right through me just like Dos. What did I do in my past life to deserve someone like Harry as a friend? Did I save someone back then? I was about to stand up and give him a hug when our instructor went inside and greeted us with a good morning. My mind again drifted to Dos resulting to me not paying attention of my classes. ×××××××
