D o s Marking my mate felt ecstatic. I couldn't describe that wonderful feeling. It felt like everything in my body was alive and everything makes sense but the pleasure it brought disappeared when I saw Jean wearing a terrified and confused look. "What the hell have you've done Remus!" I exclaimed and I had never seen Remus that shocked that he was frozen. Remus took over after that second time and I didn't expect him to be carried away and mark our mate! He was even rough and he was telling me that it was okay since Jean wasn't complaining and he seems to enjoy it. This crazy wolf! How could he do something to our mate? My heart felt like it was squeezed until it became dry after seeing Jean's scared and confused expression. Remus didn't even think what would our mate feels. Jean didn't even know about us yet so he must be so terrified after getting bitten like that. When Jean lost consciousness, I leaned to where he was bitten and licked the bite letting it heal faster. I laid Jean properly on the bed, cleaned him before I covered him up to his chin with the blanket. I sat for a long time on the bed, only staring at Jean's sleeping face. I reached my hand to his face and gently brushed my thumb on his cheek. So beautiful, I thought. "I'm sorry, hubby. Damn, I don't know what kind of face I will show the next time we meet. You might hate me for what I did." I sighed and leaned to kiss him on his cheek before I stood up. It was already two in the morning. I glanced at the window and looked at the half-moon. ××× I groaned when someone kicked me from my sleep. "How long are you planning on sleeping?" Curtis said and I only pulled the blanket all over my head. I didn't want to go to school. I didn't know what kind of face I would make to Jean. What if he would be scared of me? It will kill me to see him acting like that. "Go to school without me." I said. "What the hell, Dos." Curtis pulled the blanket and I sighed. "I guess I'll take half the day off so go without me." Curtis looked at me. "Okay. Whatever's bothering you, you can tell me anytime if you like." I nodded and he runs out of the dorm since he was already running late. I sighed and groaned. I want to see Jean and check if he was okay but I feel so terrified to face him. ××× J e a n I woke up feeling good and I was disoriented for a while before I gasped because my vision seems clearer than before. I slide out of the bed to grabbed a mirror fearing that I might go to sleep without removing the contact lenses and my eyes might be red but it wasn't and I remembered removing it when I went to bed with Dos. I glanced at the bed the around the room. Dos was nowhere inside my room and I guess he went out early without waking me up. My face heated up remembering what happened and I tilt my neck looking for a bite mark as I run my fingers on the side of my neck. I frowned as I looked for the bite mark but it wasn't there. "Was it only a dream?" I muttered. It felt so real to be a dream. It was so painful. Of course, it was only a dream. It was the same dream about the wolf with blue eyes but it was Dos having it. My face heated up remembering how Dos was a little rough with me last night and I kind of liked it. I could still feel the soreness of my back but it wasn't that painful compared to before. I looked for notes thinking that Dos might have left one before going but there was none so I checked my phone. Nothing. I turned back to the small elliptical mirror and I didn't know what was happening but looking into my eyes through the mirror, I could clearly see every detail of my eyes. It was like I was using a professional camera and zooms in on it. "Am I dreaming?" I muttered again and blinked then looked at the window thinking I was just hallucinating. I frowned because the curtain was half open and what shocked me was I could see faint fingerprints and a scratch like a blade or something sharp grazed on the window. I stood up and looked closely. There was no mistake, it was blood and it was weird how I could smell it even though it was only a faint trace. Aside from the blood, I could also smell another scent and it was the same smell that Dos gave off and the curve scratch on the glass was something I didn't notice before. There was no way Dos jumped through the window last night, right? I slide the window open and looked down. Anyone who would jump from that height would seriously injure his leg. I closed the window and wondered. I feel weird. I can suddenly see clearly without my glasses. Was it possible for my eye condition to heal overnight? I haven't heard a case like this, maybe if they do laser surgery. I jumped in surprise when my phone goes off with my morning alarm making my heartbeat wild for no reason. I guess I wasn't dreaming. I took a shower and prepared for school. I was wearing my pants when I smelled our breakfast which was new since it was the first time or was I only thinking too much? I run down the stairs and went to the kitchen. "You're early." Mom said and I was thinking of telling mom about my eyes but I guess I should observe it first. "Good morning, mom. I woke up early." I said and took a seat. "Where's Dos?" Mom asked and I looked at her for a moment. I thought Dos went out early and said goodbye to mom instead since mom would be awake at five in the morning and would be busy cleaning and preparing stuff. Then my thought drifted back to the window. He didn't jump from that window, did he? "He went home early. He didn't bring with him a change of clothes." I said and mom nodded. I was eating slowly that dad and mom went out first. My mind wondered about so many things and I was worried about Dos. I pulled my phone from my bag and called Dos. After the sixth ring, an operator answered saying it was unattended and then beeped. I tried calling Curtis also but he, too, didn't answer his phone and I was starting to get worried. I went to school in a hurry and looked for Dos and Curtis but I only saw Curtis alone who was rushing because class will start after five minutes. Curtis gave me a huge and bright smile when he saw me. I walked towards him and somehow, I could smell Dos' scent from him. "Hey, Jean." Curtis greeted and his smiling expression changed into shock and his eyes went a little wide while looking at me. "Curtis, where's Dos?" I asked without minding his expression. I just want to know if he was alright. "Oh my goodness! He marked you!" Curtis said without answering me. ××××××
