During dinner when all the pack members were all eating together in the huge dining room inside the pack house, Kayne noticed that Cerise wasn’t acting like her usual self. The others may have seen her being all quiet and looking so cold but only he knows how she truly feels on the inside. He’s gotten used to the way Cerise can easily mask her emotions but he can also tell her true feelings with just one look in her eyes and they tell him everything. She was sitting on the far end of the table, her eyes were in a daze and she was just picking at her food without talking to anyone. Kayne can clearly see how much pain she’s in and how hard she’s trying to hide it and he understands how she feels because they had both experienced the same thing.
