The trio of miscreants refused to comply, even after being bound to silver chains for three days. Despite the silver's corrosive effects on their skin and flesh, which diminished their wolves’ energy, they didn’t give in.
“They are pretty resilient. I didn’t expect that from them,” Penelope remarked.
“Rogues rarely bow down to anyone. They aren’t submissive. Besides, these wolves were once part of the Silver Claw pack, so they know loyalty,” I said.
“I bet these wolves are willing to die for their leader. I just want to know if their leader is a male or a female,” Sasha said.
Theo frowned. “Why? A female rogue?”
Sasha nodded her head. “Penny told us a she-wolf was exiled around four years ago. If she survived, she could have something to do with the attacks.”
