Chapter One-
Being one of the only non-slutty girls in high school wasn't something to brag about, but Caroline was pretty proud of herself. Besides she didn't even like the male gender, nor was she attracted to them. So why would she wear things that made them think that she wanted their attention. She might not have been openly gay, but she was pretty sure that she was one of the only lesbians in her year level.
There were times that she was glad that she didn't show so much skin, like at parties, where a majority of the people around her were drunk. Where teenage boys thought they were cooler they were and groped anything that moved. Through she was trying to attract as little attention as she could, it looked like it wasn't working. At least three boys were surrounding her, trying to make her come out of her corner.
Unfortunately for them, they had chose the wrong girl. Knowing that they wouldn't remember anything that happened in the morning, Caroline had whispered, "I don't like guys, go away."
Sadly, this didn't work. Most likely because they couldn't hear her over the loud music being blasted through the small room of Kylee Fox's house. If what she knew about Kylee was true, then the girl loved parties and was known to the host the best ones. Caroline also knew that Kylee was popular, but she had never seen the girl. The only reason she was even invited was because of her slightly younger twin brother, Jaycob.
Jaycob was the total opposite of her. He was fine with showing his body off, wearing shorts and singlet tops. While she wanted to cover hers, wearing jeans and a lose fitting top. She also had a tattoo of a small cat on her shoulder, one that she had gotten drunk and Jaycob had dragged her to a tattoo parlour.
An arm around her wrist had broken her out of thoughts, one of the drunken boys had grabbed. "Let my get a good look at you," he said while dragging her out of her corner.
"Let go of me," she said trying to get her arm back. She just wanted to get away from him, but at the same time she didn't want to hurt anyone.
"Boys... leave my guest alone," a girl's voice said as a arm went over her shoulders. Caroline looked at the girl who had her arm around her shoulder and froze. Narrow green eyes were glaring at the boys in front of her, brown hair dip dyed a light purple. She was wearing a dark blue top with the words 'come at me bro' in pink. Black, low hanging skinny jeans, showing tanned skin and a small part of her bully button.
"Like what you see?" she asked a smile on her face, as Caroline's face turned a bright red. "You could at least thank me for getting rid of those morons for you."
"Thank you."
"I meant by giving me your phone number."
"You don't e-even know if I'm gay?"
"I'm hoping you are. Are you? Doesn't matter, here's my phone number," the girl told her while handing her a piece of folded paper. "Call me."
Caroline only looked at her in a daze. She didn't notice when her brother came up to her. Jaycob could only smile when he saw his sister's face. It was almost the colour an apple, maybe even a tomato at this point.
"Looks like you've meet Kylee. She looked interested," Jaycob told her a grin on his face. "Are you interested?"
"Keep your voice down," Caroline hissed as her brother ran his hair through his black locks. "Besides, I don't need any help with relationships. You know I want to finish high school, so I can leave this small minded town."
"Really?" he asked raising an eyebrow. "When was the last time you've been a relationship?"
"Next question."
"When's the last time you kissed someone?"
"Next question?"
"Fine. When was the last time you hugged anyone?"
"Easy. This morning I hugged our dad goodbye."
"Henry doesn't count."
"Okay," Caroline said with a sigh, looking at her brother she added. "I'll call Kylee tomorrow, only if you keep Mum and Dad out of the room."
"She gave you her number? How sweet."
"Shut up! Lilly's coming."
"About that, shouldn't you tell her -"
"What's going on?" Lilly yelled, even through she wasn't even that far from them. Lilly was the type of girl would wear whatever she wanted, no matter what others called her. Such as the short black dress she was wearing, one that pointed out her medium sized bust. She had straight golden hair and dark brown eyes, even through she lived with them and was her best friend, Caroline had a crush on her.
"Nothing, we should leave," Caroline told them.
"But Caroline," both Jaycob and Lilly said at the same time, pouting at the black haired girl.
"No. Tomorrow is the first day of school and I don't want to drag your handover selves to school."
"Fine. At least let me give my number to Aubrey." Jaycob quickly ran to a brown haired girl, when she nodded. She looked like someone who would watch Netflix all day, not that she hadn't done so herself. But that must have been what her brother was into now. Lilly just shrugged and grabbed another drink, before following Caroline to the door. She always drove them home, since they would be making out with their boyfriend/girlfriend or painfully drunk. Judging at how Lilly was looking at the sky and muttering about 'killing shotting stairs', then it was most likely the last option.
"Really Jay? Her?" she asked helping her friend into her car. Not that she cared who her brother dated, she had seen him go out with people worse then Aubrey before.
"Shut you and keep your eyes on Kylee," Jaycob snapped, clearly drunk. Caroline's face went red and she looked at Lilly, who was still worrying about 'stars coming to crush on the earth'. Slumping into the front seat and smiling like a mad man, he said. "Aubrey have me her number!"
Caroline only rolled her eyes, as Jaycob repeated it over and over, each time sounding more and more drunk, until he was giggling only side Lilly. Leaving her wondering what kind of people she lived with? And how they were really weird when they were drunk.
