Jason looked at Griffin, "Take him back."
"I'm not leaving until I talk to her," Brandon said backing away from Griffin.
Griffin looked at Jason, "What do you want me to do? He should be allowed to talk to her before we take him back."
"Why haven't you moved on already? You knew she was mated." Jason questioned, Kaite opened her eyes and watched what was taking place.
"I can't," he said shaking his head. "I wouldn't want to even if I could."
"Why not?" Jason asked annoyed.
"My line," Brandon said meeting his eyes. "Your line, you can tell when someone is lying?"
"Everyone knows that," Jason said still watching the younger Alpha.
"My line can only successfully mate with their one true mate," Jason looked at him and sighed.
"No one from your line has ever had a second chance mate." Jason knew this to be true, he remembered when this was discussed not that long ago. "Your line can only have pups with a true mate, then why did your father try and get you another?"
"He figured it would calm me down and he would just grab Kylie when she resurfaced. He didn't realize what she truly was."
"But you did," Jason said watching him. "You figured it out."
"I thought maybe, her disappearing the way she did. How upset you became and her family. Then everyone stopped looking when it was announced the Goddess was killed and a new one placed. I remembered the story of the King and Queen and the Goddess prophecy. I stayed close and waited for her to come back but she didn't."
"You are not pure," Jason said looking at him. "Griffin there, even when Kylie tried to change it, that one, he's pure."
Brandon shook his head. "I dated one girl for a long time. I had s*x with her one time, we were attacked in the woods that night. My pack responded when called but the rogues attacked her from behind while I was defending in the front. She died as the rest of the pack arrived. She was my best friend."
Jason sighed again, "Griffin take him, get him something to eat, I just need the room."
Griffin nodded and motioned for Brandon to follow.
"I don't want to leave her," Brandon mumbled to Griffin
"Just follow me and give him some time. He has had a lot hit him in the last year." Griffin told him
"You act as if you like him," Brandon said looking at Griffin.
"I watched over them before I brought her here, he loves her with his entire being. I had no idea I was her mate, I already cared about her, but one touch and I will never be the same. Jason would love to kill me but knows he can't, he allowed me a real date today and Thor screwed that up."
"So that guy allowed you a date with your mate? It's your mate, it's not his choice." Brandon said looking at him confused.
"You need to get him on board or she will never let you touch her. She loves him, she loved him when she was a child, she loved him long before the mate pull. She married him, she never even looked at another. She is as pure as they come."
Brandon thought about Griffin's words, "So even if I talk to her, I have to deal with him."
"Exactly," Griffin nodded.
"You accept me?" he asked.
"I don't know, I accept Jason because I came into their situation, it depends on how she feels about it. You expect her to give you pups. What if she doesn't want to?"
Brandon looked at him, he hadn't thought about that. This type of situation never happened before.
"What if your pack won't accept a female Alpha? Or given our situation won't believe the pups are yours?"
"I, I don't know. Female Alpha?" Brandon asked.
"The Moon Goddess has only ever had female pups," Griffin informed him. "She lives on the moon, not in a pack."
