Brandon looked on confused as Katie was hooked up to the machine to start delivering her blood to Kylie.
"How was she drugged?" He asked looking at the other men inside the room.
"Doesn't matter, we need to help her," Jason answered, "Katie, I am going to lay you down with Kylie."
She nodded as he picked her up and carefully placed her on the bed. Katie wrapped her arms around Kylie as she "slept"
"Where are we?" Brandon asked, looking around.
Having just turned the machine on, Jason turned and inspected Brandon.
"Who are you?" Jason asked looking him over.
"Alpha Jackson's son, Brandon," he said sticking his hand out.
Jason just stared at it and then him. "You are the one that refused to be mated to the pageant girl that your dad hand-picked."
"How did you know that?" he asked surprised.
"I sit on a lot of councils" he answered. "Why did you do that?" his eyes studying the wolf in front of him.
"I wanted my true mate, it surprised me when I found her that day at the drive-in." he had his eyes locked on Kylie.
"And if she won't accept you?" Griffin asked.
"She will accept me," Brandon said pretending to be confident.
"She really only accepts him," Griffin said motioning to Jason.
"Who else should she have accepted?" Brandon asked.
"I'm her Protector and her mate," Griffin announced.
"Protector?" he asked.
"you don't know who she is?" Jason asked.
"No, he doesn't," Katie answered.
"That's enough Katie, I can't take any more of your blood," Jason said removing the device.
He sighed, worried about what would come next.
"Take mine," Brandon said heading to the bed where the device was hooked up to Kylie. Jason looked at him strangely for a minute. "I am O negative, you can use mine." Jason appeared to be considering the request, having a mates blood always gave quicker healing, when Brandon sighed out, "Please let me help her."
Jason nodded and hooked him up. "Touch her and I will kill you," he said forcefully.
Griffin carefully picked up Katie and carried her to his bed. He put her under the cover and pulled it over her. "Thank you for coming," he said with a small smile.
Katie pulled him next to her, whispering into his ear, "It's not your fault."
"Yes it is," he responded.
"She wanted to go out with you, remember that," she told him.
"Thanks for that," Griffin said with a small smile.
"I have my powers," she said with a small smile.
"You what?" he asked surprised.
"When My mother passed, the spellbinding me, well, I have my powers back. I can read her memories," she explained.
"You know what we did?" he whispered back.
"She wanted to, she was uneasy, but she wanted to be with you," Katie explained.
"I'm not so sure, Thor gave her the time accelerator." he sighed out.
"That only sped things up, not changed anything," she said with a small smile.
"I've never,"
"I know," Katie said, "So does Kylie, believe me, that's a good thing." Kaite tried to assure him.
Brandon had been listening to them. "Why would the time accelerator do this to her?"
"You know what she is, who she is?" Jason asked.
He shook his head no.
"If we find out that you can't be trusted, your mind will be wiped," Jason said slowly and deliberately.
"This is Katie, the Queen, daughter of the moon goddess, the breeder." Jason started.
Brandon's eyes went huge.
"Kylie's her daughter, so her entire life," Griffin continued,
"Was accelerated," Brandon said in realization. "will she be alright?"
"We cleaned her out, now we wait and see," Jason responded. as he removed the line and climbed on the bed with Kylie, he held her close.
