Brandon had been restless since he left Kylie on the moon. He had a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach when he would imagine that she wouldn't come for him. Kylie took a deep breath and knocked on Brandon's door and waited for him to open it. To her surprise, she heard his distraught voice from the other side,
"It's open" he mumbled out.
They entered his room and waited for him to turn around.
"I'm not hungry, please stop asking," he said without turning around. He was staring into the sky like he was waiting.
"You need to eat," Kylie said, not bothering to announce herself.
Brandon spun around, his eyes wide. "You came," he said, sounding shocked. He rushed to her and engulfed her in a hug.
Kylie hugged him back for a brief minute and took him by the hand, "Let's go eat." she said simply.
"I'm not hungry." he tried to argue.
"You will eat, or I will leave," she said, without batting an eye.
"You, you will stay with me?" he asked hopefully.
"Of course, let's go," she said pulling him to the door.
Both Jason and Griffin had been silent through the exchange.
"Thank you for coming." Brandon said looking at the two, "I was afraid none of you would."
Kylie patted his hand and continued walking with Brandon to the kitchen. As the door opened, she saw several she-wolves rushing around. They were busy gathering ingredients and preparing the meal for the pack. One turned around and dropped the plate in her hand, smashing it into several pieces.
"Goddess," she whispered and dropped to her knees with her head bowed.
Hearing her words, the other's quickly turned and dropped to their knees with their heads also bowed.
"Please don't do that." Kylie's commanding voice was heard and their eyes went to hers. "I need a plate for Alpha Brandon, please. He needs to eat something," she stated to the group.
"Of course Goddess," the first woman quickly ran to the fridge and grabbed a plate that she had covered and rushed to warm it up. "I have a plate right here, it will be ready in just a minute."
"Thank you," Kylie said smiling at the young girl and then to Brandon. The girls all seemed to be watching Kylie but would steal looks at Jason and Griffin.
"Would you like something, Goddess?"
"No, I ate right before I came down." she answered, "Thank you for asking Claire," she said smiling.
"You know my name?" she whispered out surprised. The beeping breaking her eye contact with Kylie.
She grabbed the plate and handed it to Brandon, bowing her head, "Alpha," Claire said.
"Thank you," he responded walking over to sit on a stool in the kitchen.
"You ladies don't mind if we sit in here right?" Jason asked,
They smiled, "No, please do so." they all seemed surprised at the request.
"Thank you," Kylie said smiling and sitting next to Brandon while Griffin and Jason sat across from them.
"We will go on a tour of the pack after you eat," Kylie said smiling at him.
He reached over and interlocked their fingers as he quickly ate the meal in front of him.
"See you were hungry," Kylie said with a smile on her face.
"I guess I was, he said seeing the empty plate in front of him."
Claire came over and gave him another plate of food. He started to protest until Kylie said, "Please eat it."
He looked at her and she stared deep into his eyes.
"Of course," he said and continued to eat.
The women all contained to cook and watching the four as they sat and talked among themselves. Once Brandon had finished his food, they stood up and Kylie thanked them as they left the kitchen.
"Thank you, ladies, for your hard work and keeping this guy healthy," Kylie said with a pleasant smile on her face.
The ladies looked at her surprised and smiled at the kind words. "Thank you Goddess." she heard as they exited.
"Why is she here?" one asked another,
"Doesn't matter," Claire said sternly, "Get to work."
They nodded and continued cooking for the pack.
As they walked around, many were whispering about who was with the Alpha. Kylie hadn't masked herself until they left the Pack-House.
"Is that our Luna?" she heard several times and looked at Brandon. His hand was clutching onto hers as if his life depended on it.
"Are you ok?" Kylie asked him concerned.
"Please don't leave me," he said stopping and staring into her eyes. "Please."
Kylie looked at him, "I promise that I won't leave here without you knowing, just breathe." she said smiling at him.
Brandon nodded and finally relaxed when she placed her hand on his cheek, leaning forward, she kissed his other cheek. "I want to see more of your pack," she said starting to walk again.
They continued to walk around the pack until they had reached the woods. Kylie stared longingly into the trees.
Jason shifted into Valco, he smirked at Kylie and took off running. Kylie quickly shifted into Lupa and followed suit. Brandon was surprised but realized what they were doing and shifted into Beast and ran after. Griffin shook his head and shifted into Fang, flashing to Kylie he stood guard. Almost as quickly as they started running, the pack warriors came to investigate the strange scents they were sensing. immediately dropping to their knees once they realized that their Alpha was with the three visitors.
"Sorry Alpha, we were not aware of their arrival." bowed the Lead Warrior. "We have not been advised of their identities," he stated via mind-link looking them over.
Beast nodded, "You will take your eyes off My Luna or risk losing them."
All the heads dropped again, "Luna," she heard them in unison.
"Set a perimeter, no one enters the woods. We are going for a run." he linked with his warriors. They bowed again to their Luna and hurried to do as ordered.
Beast was quickly overtaken as Lupa dove on top of him, pinning him to the ground. She gave him a wolfy smile and ran off again. She leads the three wolves on a hell of a chase as she continued to hide, climb, jump, and trick the three that were tracking her.
Beast finally jumped from a peak, taking Lupa into the water with him. She had been surprised and quickly flipped over swimming to the shore. He followed quickly behind. They both climbed onto the rock ledge and Lupa stared at Beast.
"You let your human mate with another." she accused.
"I didn't let him." he responded, "He didn't listen to me and blocked me."
Lupa stared into his eyes, he was telling the truth. She nuzzled into his side, she was tired from the chase. Beast was content feeling her on his side and buried his nose in her neck and she went to sleep. He was so happy, she trusted him enough to let her guard down with him.
He heard others approach and placed his paw over her protectively until he saw Fang and Valco approach. He relaxed but continued to watch them as they stopped next to them.
"We fell into the water." he linked.
"She is worn out," Valco observed. The three male wolves stayed by her side watching the water and Lupa as she slept.
