Kylie was surprised and tried to think over what he had just told her.   "Explain."  Kylie finally said. "What would you like me to explain?"  Griffin questioned. "Born a rogue?" "Yes, my father, he was a wolf that was kicked out of his pack,"  Griffin answered. "Why?" Griffin sighed, thinking back to the stories that he had been told.  "My father wanted his true mate,"  he said remembering how sad his father had been when he told him.  "He never expected that he would have to fight to get her." Kylie studied Griffin as he spoke. He was the Beta of his pack while visiting a neighboring pack he was shocked to find his mate was married to the Alpha of that pack.  He got angry and exposed the two, the pack thought they were natural mates, they had lied.  It slowly drove a wedge between him and his Alpha because his Alpha continued to recognize that pack and Alpha.  He finally told his Alpha to choose and when he did, my father no longer had a pack, he was rogue. Kylie wiped a tear from her eye hearing Griffin speak.   "He was broken, he didn't want to go on.  He was lost for years, until one day, he found my mother.  She had been attacked and was in poor shape.  Originally she was his guardian Angel but after she had seen what he had been through, she tried to help him.  Ultimately, She was an angel that had fallen to earth.  Somehow, she became his second chance mate." Kylie nodded.   "He loved her, she made him forget.  He always told me that if she hadn't come to him, he would have killed himself." "What happened to his first mate?"  Kylie asked "She went crazy and killed the Alpha and then herself,"  Griffin said  "Wow," she whispered. "How do you feel about what we did?"  she said staring at the floor. Griffin stared at her confused.  "We did?" he asked. "We, we killed them all."  Kylie's voice whispered out and her voice trailed off. Griffin grabbed her hand, dropping onto his knees in front of her, "You didn't kill them." Kylie's eyes flipped to his, "But" "Kylie, you didn't kill them.  Hunter's did." "I'm sorry," she said staring into his eyes. "Nothing we could do, they went together," he said a pained look in his eyes.
