Bella was on the phone while Sera pulled Gabby into a bone-crushing hug after she ushered them in. "Gosh, I missed you." Gabby rolled her eyes but returned Sera's hug. "It's not up to 24 hours that you last saw me. I know you don't really miss me. You just wanted to know what went down between Sam and I but sorry to burst your bubble, nothing happened." Sera pulled away from the hug and pouted. "Don't be mean, I'm your best buddy." "Nothing happened, Sera," Gabby said, making her way to the living area. Sera followed suit. "Yeah, like I'll believe nothing actually happened, most especially after you spent the night with him." Gabby groaned. "I think telling you guys that Sam asked me to stay for the night was a mistake." "I would have believed that statement if it came from Bella. You always tell us everything, especially about your whereabouts." "No doubt you'll be the end of me Sera," Bella mumbled while Sera shrugged with a mischievous grin. "Hi fave" Bella leaned closer to where Gabby was seated, she placed a kiss on her cheek, then joined her on the comfy chair she was sitting on. "That hurts but I'll try not to get jealous," Sera said, settling on a chair opposite her besties. Bella rolled her eyes while Gabby chuckled, knowing they were both kidding. As far as she knew, they were all each others faves. "Who were you on the phone with? Jason?" Gabby asked Bella. She blushed, "No. I was on the phone with my Dad." "You wouldn't believe what Bella did this time?" Sera chipped in, talking to Gabby in particular. Gabby looked at Bella who was so unbothered, then turned her attention back to Sera. "She bought a pair of heels worth $3900 with her Dad's card. Like who does that?" Sera came to know when they delivered the item to their apartment this morning. Gabby chuckled, not surprised at all. Everyone has a weakness and Bella's own was spending on fashionable items. She always wanted to own all the latest and trendy stuff, no matter how much they cost. "If only my Dad could give me his credit card!" Sera said dreamily. "Did your Dad freak out about it?" Gabby asked Bella. "Please tell me he stopped you from using any of his cards" Sera joked, knowing that might probably not be the case. They all knew Bella had her Dad's finger wrapped around her adult hands. "I didn't reply to his text messages yesterday and neither did I pick up his calls so he was worried. He questioned me about the debit alert and I told him the truth. Like always, he lectured me about my spending which was why we were on the phone for a while." "I know I've asked this question before but this time, I'm for real. Can we really switch Dads?" Sera voiced out. "HELL NO." She answered immediately in a funny way, making Gabby burst into laughter. "I would never exchange my Dad for any other Dad in the world and neither am I willing to share him with anyone else." "You should really grow up from being a Daddy's girl," Gabby suggested, playfully. "I would really love to see your reaction when your Dad gets married and you have more younger siblings," Sera said. Isabelle frowned. "You won't be the only girl in his life, then. He will have his wife and kids who might be girls." She further explained casually. "You really know how to make me sad Seraphina. I hate you so much." Bella mumbled and her besties burst into a fit of laughter. "I love you more darling. I just want you to stop taking your Dad's kindness for granted because of the fact that he loves you so much and hardly says NO to you." Sera said. "Or you're afraid he won't have time for you once he finds the person he wants to spend the rest of his life with?" She added. "It hurts a little that I won't be the centre of attention but it's fine. My Dad loves me and he will always make it up to me." "Besides, he's seeing someone already and he still has time for me so I guess that's a good thing." "I truly adore my Dad and I'm so blessed to have him but I promise you two that I never take his kindness for granted. It's only my spending that causes a rift between us and I'm working on it." Sera playfully rolled her eyes. "Working on it indeed." Bella blushed in embarrassment. Whenever they were talking about Isabelle's Dad, Gabby always had little or nothing to say. She had never met her Dad before, unlike Sera who has met him a couple of times and knows a lot about him probably because Sera and Bella had been best friends before she (Gabby) came into the picture. Gabriella had only met Bella's mom, stepdad and her younger step-siblings, Stacey and Lucas. "Okay, enough about me. How was last night?" Bella turned her attention to Gabby. "We dined, wined and made conversations." She answered. "And????" Bella pushed, hoping for more juicy details. "That was it." She shrugged. "Nah, I have a feeling something else happened.' Sera voiced out. "Come on, Please! We are dying to know." Bella pouted. Gabby had no idea her cheeks had turned red until Sera spoke. "I knew something spectacular happened so just spill it out. It's also evident that you guys shared a passionate kiss, you can skip that part and go to the main details instead." Gabby felt her bbfs' eyes boring into her soul as they waited for answers. She looked at neither of them in particular and spoke. "He asked me to be his girlfriend." "Are you for real?" Sera said loud with one of her biggest smiles. "I really hope you said Yes if not I'm breaking up with you right now," Bella said Gabby laughed at Bella's sarcasm and replied shyly, "I said Yes!" "OMG, I'm so proud of you." Sera dashed to where Gabby was seated and pulled her into a bone-crushing hug. "Congratulations boo" Bella joined the hug. They pulled away soon enough to let Gabby have some air. "I actually saw it coming but I never wanted to be too confident" Bella giggled. "See, I said you would thank us for forcing you to have dinner with Sam and for the little surprise we put in your purse," Sera said, referring to the condom. Gabriella nodded slowly. "I'm glad you guys forced me to accept his invitation. It went better than I could have ever thought of so I guess I owe you two a treat for that." Before Sera could interrupt her, she spoke, "We didn't make use of the little surprise but Thank you both for your concern." "Arghhh, you and your so-called boyfriend are so boring," Sera mumbled. Gabby bit her tongue, to keep her from talking any further. "You don't have to judge so easily, they just became official so give them time," Bella said. "Very true. Forgive me for being so noisy." She gave Gabby's hand a light squeeze. Gabriella nodded. "My mom said I should greet you two and thank you guys for making my day." "Awww Mommy Eve, I miss her." Sera cooed. Bella smiled, "Will you ever tell her about Sam?" "She's my mom, she will know eventually. I'm just giving it time." "How is Dave doing?" Sera asked after one of Gabby's elder twin brothers. "He's fine but angry." "Why?" They asked in unison. "He wanted to take me out yesterday to celebrate. I told him I had plans but we can celebrate another day." "He can't stay mad at you forever," Sera assured. "I know, but he has to stop being so commanding and overly-possessive over me. He needs to understand that I'm an adult, I have plans and I make my decisions. I can't be saying Yes to him every time. "And I was over here wishing I had a brother who cared about me like yours," Sera said. "It honestly sucks being the older one if you ask me. My mom sometimes thinks I'm selfish because according to her, I don't give my younger step-siblings the attention they deserve." "She said I was beyond angry when she gave birth to Stacey. Even during the pregnancy, I wasn't excited about being a big sister." Gabby chuckled, "Were you?" "I honestly had no idea. All I know is that my younger siblings make me crazy every time. So when I'm not at school, I'm either at my Dad's or Grandma's." "See! Be thankful." Sera said to Gabby. "I was about to open the gifts you guys got me." Gabby gestured to where the gift bags were, On her portable counter. She transferred them there when she was cleaning. "Sure, ma'am. I'll get them for you." Bella rose to her feet to get the bags from the counter. "Open mine first." She handed Gabby a pink gift bag. A mini camera and a cross mini body bag were what Isabelle got for Gabriella. "Thank you, Amiga! I really appreciate these cuties" She hugged the hell out of Bella. "Don't crush me to death boo, you're very much welcome" In the other gift bag, Gabby got a portable Bluetooth speaker, a stud earring set, her favourite body spray and a full set makeup (Fenty Beauty) "Thank you so much Sera, I love my present." She hugged her. "You're welcome, Babe." "We wanted to take you to the club tonight to celebrate but we also don't think Sam would appreciate that," Bella said. "Yeah! So we might just celebrate in your apartment. We will order food and drinks, turn up the music very loud and party like we are the only ones in the building. Gabby chuckled, "I like that." "Girls, before I forget..." Bella started to say. "I'll be going over to my Dad's tomorrow and you guys have to come with me." She turned to Gabby. "You especially. You've never met him." She pouted.
