"I honestly don't mind going in with you," Sam said to Gabriella as he watched her unbuckle her seatbelt. He insisted on bringing her back to her apartment instead of taking a taxi. "Or are you shy of people seeing us together?" She chuckled, "Of course, not. My apartment is just a bit messy which wouldn't be a good first impression." "My friends and I did a little partying before they started getting me ready to come over to your place." Sam smiled, "I still insist." "Just don't say I didn't warn you." She said in embarrassment. He nodded and began unbuckling his seatbelt. Sam had a new outfit delivered for Gabby this morning so she was in a fashionable knee-length dress and matching scandals while he was in casual wear. He reached for the fancy backpack he had given her in the back seat. It had her dress, shoes and purse from yesterday. He hung it over his left shoulder and intertwined his right hand with Gabriella's as they walked side by side into her not so luxurious apartment building. Gabby reached for her keys in the smaller part of the backpack and opened the door. She ushered Samuel in. "Not as bad as you said it was." He voiced out, looking around. "Not as spotless as your place." She shrugged, walking closer to him. "I still haven't arranged the presents you sent me." She pointed to the white couch where all the gifts were, including the ones from Sera and Bella that she hadn't unwrapped. "You can even see the wrappers scattered all over." Sam chuckled, "Still, it's not that bad." She playfully rolled her eyes at him. "Anyways, thank you so much for everything, I had a memorable birthday." "Anything for my girlfriend." He smiled and stole a kiss from her. "Do you want anything to drink? I've got wine in my fridge." "I'll have a glass before I take my leave." Gabby dashed into the adjoined kitchen and came back a few seconds later with a bottle of wine and a glass cup. Sam was already settled on the sofa. Gabriella placed the items on a nearby stool, opened the wine with an opener and poured some for Samuel. "Thanks." He accepted the glass, immediately connecting it to his lips to take a sip. Gabby crashed beside him and ran her fingers through his soft hair. "I'm missing you already" He smiled. "Says you, who was opposing me coming in." She pouted, Don't be mean!" He kissed her pout. "We can always visit each other so you have nothing to worry about." She nodded but due to how busy they both were, him with work and she with college, there was no doubt they would mostly see each other on weekends. "So, will you be going to your suite straight from here?" She asked, still gently running her fingers through his hair. "No, till Monday. I have to meet Evan today so I'll be going to his place, then to my home." "He said he has a gift for you when he called this morning. I'll collect it on your behalf and keep it for you after it has gone through a thorough inspection from me." Gabby smiled. "He's your best friend. Don't you trust him?" "I do. Evan could go overboard at times just to frustrate me because he knows how jealous and protective I can be over what's mine." Gabriella's heart melted. If only he knew she could also be protective and crazily jealous over what was hers, especially now that she and Sam were an item. She reached for his free hand and placed a long kiss on the back of his palm before intertwining it with hers. She hoped her gesture conveyed everything she would love to say to him at that moment. They talked some more until it was time for Sam to leave. "Be good. Don't hesitate to let me know if you need anything, I'm just a phone call away." He looked into her eyes sincerely. She nodded. "Drive safe and call me when you get home." "I will." He connected his lips to her pink plum ones. ................... Immediately Samuel took his leave, Gabby began cleaning and arranging her apartment. Then she opted for a cold shower after she was done. As she showered, she couldn't help but think back to the naughty things Sam did to her in his bathroom. Her cheeks turned red when she sighted the tiny love bites he left around her boobs. He was truly possessive of whatever was his and she found it cute. Only Gabriella's parents and siblings had ever been possessive over her and getting that feeling from an opposite-s*x felt amazing. She rinsed her body and dried herself with her oversized towel, then dashed into her closet to look for what to wear. She settled for a short and tank top. Feeling hungry, she warmed some leftover pizza and took out a bottle of coke from her fridge. She was about to settle down on the couch in her living room, to devour her meal when she remembered she left her phone in the room. She gently placed her plate of pizza and coke on a nearby table and went for her phone. After doing a little searching, she figured out her phone might be in her purse which should be somewhere in the backpack Sam gave her. She found the purse in the smaller compartment of the backpack but noticed it had a little bit of weight which was strange because she remembered only putting her phone and a few dollars in it. She brushed off her sentiments and opened the purse to retrieve her phone. Her eyes went wide as soon as she discovered what made the purse carry a little weight. She groaned and plopped down on her bed, still not believing Sam had the guts to put a lot of dollar notes in there. He must have snuck them in when she pleaded for him to put her necklace in there. She groaned in embarrassment as soon as she sighted a condom. She had totally forgotten Sera and Bella put that in her purse and no doubt Samuel saw it. Gabby refused to touch or count the money. She would have to talk to Sam about it first. But looking at the notes in her purse, she wouldn't be surprised if it was up to $5000 or even more. She took her phone and went back to the living room, leaving the purse on her neatly arranged bed. As soon as Gabriella unlocked her phone while eating her pizza, she saw her Mom's missed call and smiled. She dialled her immediately. "Hi, mom." "My love, how are you?" "I'm fine Mom, Sorry I missed your call. How's Dad, Dave and Dan."She asked after her father and elder twin siblings. "They are fine, baby. You promised to call me back yesterday and you didn't. So I thought I might as well check up on my only daughter. Had too much fun yesterday?" "Sorry about that, I was carried away and yes, I had fun." "I can imagine. Dave said you turned down his offer to come to visit you and take you out to celebrate. Your elder brother is pretty hurt about it. You never say no to him." Gabriella sighed, forgetting how overprotective and Sensitive her elder brothers can be, Most especially Dave. "I had plans with my friends which I couldn't cancel so I told Dave we would go out some other time." "Oh dear, you shouldn't feel guilty about that." Gabby's mom said when she heard her daughter's voice turning to that of a sad one. "You know how persistent Dave can be but I'm sure he's over it already. My baby girl had fun on her birthday and that's what matters." "So, care to tell me how you spent your day yesterday?" Eve, Gabby's mom asked with smiles on her face. Being the only girl and last born of the family, Gabriella had a good and very close relationship with her mom. Gabby could boast that She had a memorable 20th birthday and it was all because of Sam. A little credit would have to go to her best friends for talking some sense into her on accepting Samuel's invitation. "Nothing much, mom. Just the usual celebration with Sera and Bella" "Hmmm, you sure there isn't anything else you're not telling me?" Eve pushed. She knew her daughter more than her daughter even knew herself. Gabby blushed, grateful that she wasn't on facetime with her mom. She knew she would have to tell her soon about Sam, especially now that they were official. But she needed time to muster the courage to do so. "That's pretty all, mom. Sera, Bella, I and a few of our other friends celebrated." She lied. "Okay dear, Just remember I'm always ready to listen to anything no matter how silly they are." Gabby smiled, "I know Mom. That's why I love you so much." "I love you too, pumpkin. So how is school? Finding things easy?" "School's fine and Yeah, I've been trying my best with my books." "I remember your first year of college, you would run home at every opportunity you've got but that isn't the same anymore. I miss having you around. I can't wait for you guys to be on holiday." Gabby chuckled, she got bored easily at school and will use every opportunity to go home but since she and Sam met on that site, he's been doing a great job keeping her company via calls, texts and facetime that she didn't see the need to go home so often anymore. "I miss you too, Mom. Holiday is in less than ten weeks so we will spend time with each other pretty soon." "Can't wait, baby. Do you need anything? provisions? Money?" Eve asked. "I'm okay for now Mom. I'll let you or Dad know when I need anything. How's work?" She asked. Her mom works in a public high school not too far away from their home. She was the secretary to the principal. "Work is fine, dear." "We've started planning Marie's baby shower and wherever you are by then, I hope you'll be able to attend." "Sure, I won't miss it for anything. Aunt Marie has threatened she would disown me from being her favourite if I don't show up for her baby shower." "Got to go, Mom, someone's at my door, It must be Sera and Bella." "Okay baby, Say Hi to them for me, We will talk later." "Ok mom, love you." "Love you too, darling." Gabby placed her phone on her couch and rose to her feet with her now empty plate of pizza and a half bottle of coke. She placed the coke bottle on the counter and the plate in the sink, She washed and dried her hands before going to answer the door.
