Leviathan's P.O.V:
Every day, new bodies to make my father happy. Killing humans was one of the easiest things that I could have done. They were naïve.
Despite all the killing I was doing, I couldn’t help but think of her. She was trapped in my head. I couldn’t get rid of the thought of her. The thought of her drove me crazy. I wanted to know more about her.
I hated it.
I hated being vulnerable.
I was never vulnerable until I had locked eyes with her. Her dark blue eyes drew me in and captivated me. She had me caught in her trap.
The sooner I can find the witch, and bring her to my father, the sooner I can get back to hell and forget about her.
I needed to forget about those enticing blue eyes. The eyes that made me drown in her.
I hated that I wanted to drown in her eyes. To drown in her.
I walked over to where the people were sitting in the pub, drinking and I walked inside, watching everyone stand behind a long table with alcohol glasses placed on it. The glasses were all filled with alcohol, and the people were all drunk and laughing. Laughing for nothing. For no reason at all.
Stupid people. Nothing is f*****g funny, yet they’re laughing at the most stupid reasons. Small things amuse small minds.
The human brain doesn’t seem very intellectual to me. They don’t have much intelligence. In fact, it may be almost non-existent.
I walked over the counter, and a girl that worked over the counter walked over to me with a slight blush on her cheeks, and I ignored her, observing my surroundings carefully. All the women looked hideous, except for her. No women could even remotely compare to her.
She made everything else look black and white, where she stuck out.
I couldn’t focus on anything else. I couldn’t think about anything else either. I had a job to do and all I could wonder was when I would bump into her again. I wanted to know everything about her. Every tiny detail. I needed to know everything about her.
I walked over to the people, and they all looked at me as if I was an impostor. As if I had offended their little group of laughs.
I smirked, and the one man got up, falling over as he did so due to his drunken state. He slurred out drunkenly.
“And who the f**k do you think you are, pretty boy?” He wiped his mouth from the spit that came out, and I shook my head.
He reeked of alcohol and sweat. His friends got up as well, trying to defend their drunken friend.
“I will beat your ass until next weekend” He slurred, and I kept my eyes on him, slightly intrigued by his blatant stupidity.
“Was that a threat?” I ask, and he laughs, his drunk friends laughing with him.
“You bet your ass it is, you freak” He sized me up a couple of times, and I shook my head.
I towered over him, so now I’m the freak?
“I just hope that your threats aren’t empty then” I shrugged, and he grunted, making me smirk.
“You watch your mouth you dipshit!” He shouted, catching everybody’s eyes around us and I sighed.
There were cameras all around the bar. It wouldn’t make sense killing the entire bar and getting caught on the cameras. I had work that still needed to be done here, and I couldn’t do that if I had the entire town after my head. Never mind that, I wouldn’t be able to see Luna again if I was caught.
“You know what? It’s your lucky day. I’ll take pity in your drunken state, and I’ll let you live. Think of it as a blessing” I wink at him, and he breaks the glass full of his alcohol, and he sticks it in my side, the glass piercing my human flesh, and I clench my jaw, feeling myself grow angry.
I pulled the piece of glass out of my side, and the man’s eyes widened. The wound had already healed.
“You shouldn’t have done that.” I feel my eyes grow a shade darker, and before I could think about pulling myself together, I grabbed him by his hair, slamming his face into the counter. The sound of his teeth breaking made me smile.
I couldn’t kill him. Not here anyway. It would be too risky. Unless I were to disturb the frequency of the video footage.
His body fell to the floor, his face a bloody mess, and I laughed at the teeth that were left in the wooden counter. That made me feel better.
He was passed out, and his friends were trying to get him to wake up, glancing at me sporadically to make sure that I wouldn’t touch them, and I took the bit of alcohol that was in the glass, pouring it over their friend that was on the ground.
“Please don’t do anything, he is drunk. He has a family!” The one man screamed, and I roll my eyes.
“Your friend got lucky today, and you better make sure he knows that. Next time he might not be this lucky.” I walked out of the bar, and his body suddenly set alight. His friends rushed to kill the fire, and I walked over to my hotel.
I walked inside, going to my room and once I got inside, I shut the door, taking my shirt off that had some blood on, and I walked in front of the mirror. There was no wound where the glass had pierced my skin, and I set the shirt alight, allowing the blood to burn with it. It had the blood of the man as well, and I needed the evidence gone.
I walked over to the balcony watching over the dammed city.
Out of nowhere, I felt a hot gust of wind, and the room lit up to crimson.
“What do you want Satan?” I ask, and I hear a laugh behind me, making me roll my eyes.
“How is earth?” He asks, walking towards me and I keep my eyes on the city.
“Dammed and evil.” I answered, and he laughs, standing next to me and watching the view.
“Sounds like home to me.” He comments, and I nod.
“Except the people are infuriating here.” I say, and he laughs.
“Humans, am I right?” He says, and I nod.
“Really beautiful view.” He says, taking a breath in, and I nod.
Satan was just barely older than me. Maybe by a few seconds. I was taller than him still, and I towered over him and my father. Satan was considered the nicer one out of us. He was not as powerful as me, hence why my father had me do the jobs instead of him. I had more strength in powers, and overall strength. Satan was smart, and he had strategic plans most of the time, but I always did the dirty work. I was in line for the throne next because of my power. Satan would rule right next to me, but I would always be the chosen one in my father’s eyes because of my power and ruthlessness.
Satan allowed himself to be played by Succubus. Succubus used him like she uses al the men she’s with, and he allowed himself to fall for her traps.
“So? How are human women?” He asks, and I shake my head.
“Ugly.” I state, and she appeared in my head again. Her ice blue eyes. Her soft and calming voice. Her beautiful face and gorgeous figure.
“Really? That bad?” He asks, and I nod my head.
“Uglier than Succubus?” He teases, and I roll my eyes. He knew that I hated her more than anything. She was a horrible creature, and I hated her even more for what she did to him.
“Nothing can be uglier than Succubus.” I state, and he laughs.
“In reality, she’s every man’s dream. She has a perfect body. Perfect face. She is physically perfect, and a man’s dream.” He says, and I roll my eyes.
“She is far from perfect, Satan. You just need to open your eyes. She is nothing special. The sooner you will realize that the sooner you will find happiness again.” I say, and he scoffs.
“First of all, can you honestly tell me that you’ve seen a woman even half the beauty that Succubus possesses?” He asks, and I glare at him.
“I’m not going to repeat myself. Succubus is not beautiful. She’s easy, and that is all.” I say, and Satan sighs.
“You have the most to say about her, yet you’re the one that’s arranged to marry her. You are the only one that she actually gives a flying f**k about. She doesn’t care about anything else.” I stop him, and I pinned him towards the wall, wrapping my hand around his throat.
“She was playing with you since day one, and she feeds on everything you give her, or feel for her. That is her strength. She doesn’t give a s**t about me or anybody else for that matter. She is just always trying to get to the top. And what better way than to marry the next in line for the throne of hell? Get it into your f*****g head that she doesn’t care about anybody. She feeds off you and your stupid feelings for her, and you feeling something for her makes her even stronger than the rest of the brainless men out there because you’re Lucifer’s son. Open your eyes and realize that all you’re doing is lining yourself for more disappointment and unhappiness. She will never be yours, or anybody’s, for that matter. She belongs solely to herself. Nobody else. She is not capable of feeling anything else. I’m disappointed in you for not realizing that sooner. I’ve told you all of this before, you just choose not to listen to me because you would rather be strung along like Succubus’s little puppy on a leash.” I let go of my grip around his throat, and he remains silent.
He looked upset even though I had told him all of this before already in the past. Every time he lines himself up with more and more disappointment caused by her.
Succubus only loved herself. It was the only thing that she was capable of.
“So even though the women are terrible here, they’re better than Succubus?” He questions, and I sigh.
“Yes.”
“Why are you here, Satan?” I ask him, and he shrugs.
“Is it bad that I missed my little brother?” He jokes, and I roll my eyes.
“Hardly little.”
He laughs, and I shake my head, smiling.
After a few moments of peaceful silence, he decided to break the ice and give me the actual reason as to why he was here.
“Father wants to know whether you’ve found the witch yet or not. He is getting impatient, and he says that if you don’t start working faster then, you will be marrying Succubus really soon.” He sighs, and I clench my jaw.
“Tell father that I can only find the witch with the full moon. The full moon is still in a few weeks’ time. He needs to wait. I refuse to go anywhere near that whore.” I glare at him, and he sighs.
“He seems threatened.” He says, and I furrow my eyebrows.
“Threatened by a little witch that doesn’t know how to use her powers?” I scoff, and Satan sighs.
“Not just a little witch, that’s where you are wrong. She’s going into full power. She’ll be at her strongest.”
“I don’t care for a little witch.” I say, rolling my eyes.
“She’s not just any little witch.”
“Well, it’s a witch that’s going to be getting me out of my arranged marriage to Succubus.” I shrug, and Satan laughs.
“Correct, so I suppose that’s a good thing.”
“Are you going back home then?” I ask him, and he nods.
“I’ll have to tell father about the witch. I’ll tell him to be patient.”
I sigh, shaking my head.
“Goodluck telling him to be patient.” Satan laughs, and I remain quiet.
“You take care of yourself here and try not to have too much fun taking innocent souls. We need you back in hell to keep everyone in check.” He sighs, and I nod.
“Don’t worry about it. I’ll be back as soon as I’ve got the witch.” I look at him, and he smiles at me. Before us a large portal opened and inside was Satan’s room.
“Look after yourself, Satan.” I say my goodbyes, and he leaves shortly, leaving me in peace.
The sounds of the city flooded through the night. The sound of cars, bars that were still open and people shouting at each other made me agitated.
