Chapter 10

The rain was pouring outside and I stood by the window watching. I always loved the rain. Something about it just calms me and takes me to a peaceful place. It's almost as if it washes away all my pain and worries.

A knock on the door startled me and broke me free from my thoughts. I walked over to the door and opened it to find Josh standing there soaking wet. He walked in and started taking off his jacket.

I ran upstairs to get him a towel and a blanket. I ran back down with both In my hands and walked over to him. I took off his shirt and started drying him with the towel. He looked up at me and smiled.

"Don't look at me like that. I don't want you to get sick babe. Now go on upstairs and change into some dry clothes please. I promise to give you more kisses when you come back." I gave him my best puppy dog eyes and he left.

I picked up his wet clothes and walked to the bathroom with it in hand. I through it in the basket and walked back down. I went straight to the kitchen to see of the food is ready. I invited Josh over for dinner today and I'm excited to spend this evening with him.

I walked over to the oven to check up on the roasted chicken and potatoes. I made that along with some meatballs , rice, beef stew and a green salad. I made chocolate pudding for desert. After making sure that the stove is off I walked out to find Josh sitting on the sofa with a blanket wrapped around him.

I climbed onto his lap and he welcomed me with open arms.He was ice cold so I started rubbing him so he could get warm. I hugged him close to my body. After a while he stopped shivering and we just sat there holding each other.

I tried to get up once I was certain that he's warm enough but he pulled me back. "No, don't go." I smiled at his adorableness. "Babe, you have to eat something. " I said trying to convince him. He gave me a look that made me melt and I laid back down on his hard chest.

"Why the hell are you crying?" He asked me. I didn't know. I had no answer. These tears, they aren't of pain. They contain the happiness I'm feeling right now. "I don't care anymore "I said.
