Tamara was smirking at me when she saw how I spaced out on the meal. “What?” I blinked. She shrugged. “I think you want to have dinner with someone else,” she said. “Am I boring you, my dear best friend?” she chuckled, seemingly enjoying the tease. I pursed my lips and narrowed my eyes at her. “I am not—” I stopped when I saw her smiling at me meaningfully. I rolled my eyes and let out a frustrated sigh. “Whatever, Tammy.” She laughed at my reaction. I know what she’s thinking. Among the three of us, she’s the wittiest.
