4 Chapter 4: Rejuvenation
While Maya and Dastan prepared for their journey, Elrick waited outside. His horse fed and drank from two nearby troughs. Elrick examined the peaceful surroundings and homesteads. The city of Haven Hollow had become a beacon of tolerance and cooperation between the races. In addition to Ariculon and Hinnoc, Haven Hollow was said to be the most tolerant city in all of Zannondale. Varying races of people took refuge in the booming metropolis, all seeking to renew their forgotten cultures and customs. Elrick smiled when he spotted a young Droragorian girl playing hide and seek in a nearby garden with a young human boy. The city had grown substantially in twenty years and the people thrived under Maya’s graceful leadership. A comforting aura of peace and happiness
