4 With Cole’s hand resting lightly on her shoulder, Marina walked into Beaches. His simple touch filled her with a sense of security. She’d always felt comfortable with Cole. While he was certainly attractive, she hadn’t given him much notice long ago because she was madly in love with Stan. Now, having Cole here brought back so many shared memories. It was like going home to a safer time and place before her world had exploded. More than that, Cole was a Marine. Next to his solid, imposing stature, she felt safe and protected.
