Marina’s head throbbed at the thought of acting opposite Jack, and she felt a little dizzy at how quickly everything was happening. But Kai and the rest of the cast needed her.
Taking a deep breath, Marina turned to Jack. “Okay. Show me what to do.”
For a moment, Jack looked as shocked as she felt, but then he nodded and sprang into action. “We have time while the ghosts of Christmas enlighten Scrooge.”
“And I’m up next,” Kai said. “Jack, please run lines with Marina. And let’s have Leilani’s husband help Leilani to a dressing room. Here he comes now.”
Roy Miyake hurried to Leilani. While he helped his wife to a dressing room, Kai turned to Marina. “Thank you,” she whispered, hugging her. “Got to go.”
