It was too late to change my mind when I caught Jimmy’s angry look through the window of the restaurant. The look on his face was obvious he saw the interaction between Corbin and me. Narrowed eyes, arched eyebrows and a scowl on his lips. He was ready to explode but the little bad voice in my head told me to grab hold of Corbin’s hand and interlace our fingers when we entered the restaurant. If he was a true friend as he said he was then this shouldn’t even upset him or bother him. I was done with fear and I was going to face things head-on from now on. Starting with Jimmy. “Well, morning. We thought we were not going to see either of you two before the big event later on.” Corbin’s mother chirped, inviting us to the table and gesturing for the waiter to come over to serve us.
