“Where are you going?” He asked when she looked back at him in shock. She twisted her wrist in his grip to free it but his grip only got tighter. “What are you doing? You’re hurting me,” Emily said with a wince and, one pull, he gathered her in his arms. His grip loosened a bit but he didn’t let go of her hand. “Where are you going?” He asked, gathering her closer. Emily looked up with a frown and pressed her lips in a thin line to express her distaste. “I am going home,” Emily said and glared at him. Oliver stared into her eyes for a second and then shook his head. “Who said you can go home?” He asked and before she could reply, he scooped her up in his arms and walked around, carrying her to his room. “Oliver? What are you doing?” Emily whispered so that no one could hear her. She also hoped that no one saw them like that or there would be lots of questions. “Taking you where you should be,” he said calmly, as if nothing was wrong. “But this is not your apartment!” She panicked and looked around frantically to see if anyone was there, but thankfully, there was no one. “You have lost your mind, Oliver,” Emily said when he strode inside his room and nudged the door close with his shoulder. He gently put her down on her feet and pulled her in his arms. “I am still angry with you, so don’t try to act like you did nothing back there in the kitchen,” Emily said when he moved closer to her. He stared into her eyes and smirked. “So you’re angry because I didn’t kiss you,” he said, and pulled her closer so she could feel his arousal. Emily rolled her eyes and turned her head away. “I was angry with you too, but you look too good to let go tonight,” Oliver said, and she reluctantly looked at him in confusion. “What?” She asked. “What did you think when you were dressing up? That I will be letting you walk away?” Oliver whispered in her ear sending shivers down her spine. “I will f**k you so hard tonight that you will barely be able to walk next day. You have no idea how I have endured these two days.” he whispered next and Emily’s eyes widened, but she couldn’t deny that her body lit up with desire and anticipation. “But we are at your parent’s mansion,” she said in a silent whisper. “You should’ve thought about that when you were marching in looking like that,” he said and Emily blushed crimson. “Oliver—” Emily started to say but was cut off as he sealed her mouth with his own, kissing her hard, letting her know that he meant what he said. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Emily woke up early the next morning and heard the shower running in the bathroom. She glanced beside her and saw that Oliver was no longer in bed, meaning he must be the one in the shower. She quickly got up and wore her clothes that were discarded not too far from the bed. When she saw Oliver coming out of the bathroom with a towel around her hips, she almost felt like staying. But she needed to get out before anyone saw her. “I need to leave asap,” she said, and he nodded reluctantly. “I know,” he said and started to get dressed. After brushing his hair back, he came to her and kissed her lightly on the lips. “I will see you tonight, okay?” Emily nodded with a smile. He slowly opened the door to his room and looked around to see if anyone else had woken up, but no one had. He gestured for Emily to come out and follow him to the main door. Emily slowly and quietly walked behind him, but as they were turning around to the living room, Oliver stopped abruptly and Emily bumped into his back before she could stop. She wondered what had happened that he had stopped suddenly and pushed him with her palm. “What happened, Oliver? Why have you stopped?” Oliver cleared his throat lightly and Emily looked over his shoulder to see that Eleanor was standing in the living room with Noah in her arms. When Eleanor caught sight of Emily, her eyes widened like saucers and she gasped. Emily winced and squeezed Oliver’s arm. For a while, Eleanor kept staring at them in bewilderment, then a grin broke out on her face. Laughing quietly, she walked past Emily and Oliver, whispering to Emily, “You owe me the details.” Oliver turned to look at Emily and shook his head. “Come on, now.” He took her to the main door and together they walked out towards her car. “Thank God, Eleanor didn’t create a scene. I can only wonder the questions Dad would have,” Oliver said. “Oh, she will grill me for everything, don’t worry,” Emily said, knowing that Eleanor would not let go without knowing what was going on between them. ~~~~~~~~ The next day when Emily was at work, she remembered that she had to talk to Oliver about the deal Raymond had proposed and she decided to talk to Oliver about that. She sent him a quick text. “Hey, I heard you’re searching for land for your next project,” she said, avoiding the details in a text message. “We have plenty of offers at the moment but none of them match our requirements,” Oliver replied. “Do you have any?” he said, and Emily chuckled. “Do I look like I would have any land of that type? Anyway, Raymond has one and he was proposing a deal,” Emily replied back. “Raymond? No, thank you,” Oliver’s reply was instant. Emily rolled her eyes and shook her head. “Oliver, be professional. This land could be useful. At least have a look at the deal.” “No,” he replied. Emily sighed and closed her eyes. “Are you serious?” She asked. “Yes,” Oliver replied. “Okay, no problem,” Emily said and wondered how she would be breaking the news to Raymond that Oliver was refusing to work with him because Oliver disliked him being around her. Then she frowned and an idea struck her. She could talk to Bernard Hansen. Before Oliver, she used to consult him directly. She could do that now as well. Maybe Bernard would consider giving Raymond a chance.
