Chapter- Sixteen
The next time Astrid wakes up things are a lot clearer, for the first part, she isn’t instantly assuming she is dead. She can actually feel a bit of the aches and itches on her body that she knows Ancy must be weaning her off on those drugs that numbed her, which is rude, because she could have really used that for like the rest of her life.
Astrid recalls that she had woken up a few more times prior, just for a couple minutes to see the always stoic and still face of Ancy as the woman glared her into eating and drinking.
