CHAPTER 13
—
"What just happened?" Dizen asked as he sat beside me.
I smiled at him and shrugged, "I don't know, too," I whispered and lean on the couch, I closed my eyes as I sighed heavily.
"You look tired, did you rest?" he asked. I pursed my lips and remain in my position.
I look at him without moving, "Do I look like a mess right now?" I asked.
He nods at me, "You look like a zombie to be exact, you eye bags is so obvious and you look exhausted," he said as he examine my face.
I chuckled at him, "I just lack some sleep, my body clock is not used at sleeping late so it's adjusting," I replied to him.
His forehead wrinkle to me, "Why are you sleeping late then? It's not so you, you're still beautiful but there's something missing in your face, you don't usually smile but you just drop your glow,"
I pursed my lips, "You seems so observant, huh," I said and chuckled at him.
"I'm not kidding, Dems. You need to have some rest, you don't like fine to me, " he said and shook his head.
"Don't worry I'll take hours that I took so I can regain my strength," I told him and smiled a little to him.
"Do you want to open to me anything? Hexon and Kyla are not around so I know you need someone right now. " he said, i stare at his eyes and my lips parted.
This guy is always here for me from the start...when everything began to change.
I look at him and smiled genuinely, "You're such a good man, Dizen. Your girlfriend will be so lucky to have you," I said as I look at him.
"I don't have a plan to have a girlfriend," he said.
I chuckled at him, "Why? Are you planning to be a priest?" I asked jokingly.
He glared at me, "Yet, I'm not planning yet, I still have a lot of responsibility so I have to focus on something that's really important,"
"Is that true? That you never have a girlfriend since birth?" I asked.
He playfully smirked at me, "Hmm, why? Would you like to apply?" he said teasingly.
I formed a thin line in my lips, "Ahm, no, I just want to know if it's real, I mean we can't deny that you really have the looks so..."
"Your flattering me, tss, yap it's true. A lot of girls wants me, but I just don't want to, I can't find the quality that I want," he said.
"Maybe you have a high standard in girls," I replied to him.
He shook his head, "Yeah, I have a high standard in girls and I saw that in you," he said.
I chuckled at him, "Nice try, Zen. I remember when you said that Dysthe is your type and not me, hmm." I uttered to him.
"Oh, you still remember that, she's really my type of girl with personality like yours but now I think I change my mind," he said meaningfully.
I shook my head to him, "And what it is, huh," I asked.
He shrugged, "I think the perfect definition of my type will be Demetra Jacintha,"
"You're such a corn, Zen. Hexon told me that you're improving your flirting skill because you lack—
"Oh, don't listen to that asshole, I know how to flirt even before, I just don't want to," he uttered at me and frowned, I laughed at him.
His face crumble in annoyance as he saw me laughing, "Why are you laughing? Don't tell me you really believe to that brute?" he asked unbelievably.
I shook my head and sat properly, "You look so defensive, it's make me want to laugh even more," I told him and bit my lips to hold my laughter.
"Tsk, you're making fun of me," he said and cross his arm on his chest.
I chuckled, "No, you're just adorable when you're acting like that," I uttered to him.
I saw a smirk form on his lips, "Really? I'm adorable now, huh," he said to tease me.
"Just right now, don't assume," I said and rest again on the couch.
"Do you want me to massage your back?" he asked.
"No, I'm fine. By the way, did you call Piloer already? The modelling competition is just two days more, she needs to be there for Kyla,"
"Yap, I already called her, she'll be home tomorrow," he muttered.
"That's good, Hex will be back at exact day of the event, right?" I asked.
He nods, "Auntie doesn't want to him to go back yet, she miss him,"
"She still treats him as a baby," I said, he chuckled.
"He'll freak out if he heard that,"
"Definitely," I nod at him in agreement
Our attention turns my phone on the table, someone is calling, I sat properly and look at the caller, I pursed my lips when I saw who it is.
I shrugged and went back to my position a while ago.
"You won't answer it? It can be an emergency," he said as he glanced at phone.
I shook my head, "It's not," I said.
"Do you want me to answer it for you?" he asked, I shook my head in him.
"No, just let it, it's not important,"
He nods at me, "Okay then, do you want us to eat outside,"
"Where?"
"Where do you want to eat? Liesandra texted me that Balerie and her will be late for an hour for some matter so we still have time eat," he said as he read the message in his phone
"Where did they go?" I asked.
He shrugged, "I think Liesandra accompanied Balerie to the mall, she mention that she needs to bought some clothes for the competition, cause she forgot about it,"
"Oh, right," I said as I remember that.
"I'm so grateful at this," I whispered.
He looks at me, "For what?" he asked.
"For the unexpected friendship that we had, I never imagine that one day I'll have other friends except Hexon and Kyla,"
"I love it too," he smiled and pat my head.
"Really? I thought you hate that—"
"I'm just kidding at that time," he replied and furrowed his brow.
"You don't look like you're—"
"I'm just teasing Hexon, he gets easily annoyed when I'm saying that so to get even... I said those," he said.
I shrugged, "I actually got offended, I felt like you don't want to be friends with us and you just forced yourself because you had no choice," I said honestly, I don't want to lie at him.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound that way. I won't repeat it, I'll apologize to other girls too," he uttered sincerely.
