24. Recording Devices

After some fun time the next morning, we manage to separate and take showers. Then I tell the brain to bring down 1 of the black boxes. They are going to make my life easier. I change my hair to the long white-half curled style. Then I leave it down and put on a little white skirt. It covers my ass but not much else. Then I pick a tiny tank top that shows all my stomach really. It covers my boobs though. And there's a V cut between them. The straps on the dress are light blue strings. I pick high heel boots that go up past my knees. Then the whole outfit has light blue trim everywhere. I pick out 2 light blue arm bands, 2 necklaces, 1 longer than the other, a bracelet, and 4 rings for jewelry. Then I find a headpiece. It's almost like a crown but not quite. It's white and very fancy. It has light blue stones that hang down.
I spin around in the mirror. The top is tied in the back with light blue strings. 1 tie behind my neck and another holding the boob part down. I really like this outfit.
"How do I save this? I love it."
"Right here. It is now saved in outfits."
"Thank you."
"My pleasure, ma'am."
I go out to the dining area. Alden starts choking on water. Once he gets it out, he smirks at me and his eyes go black.
"I take it you like this outfit sir?" I spin in a circle all sexy.
His black eyes are all over me. He can't even force his eyes away. I love this.
"I figured, you've already seen my skin. I can show it now."
He nods slowly as his eyes go from my chest to my thighs.
I give him a deep kiss. "Good morning sir."
He takes a deep breath to smell me. "Good morning baby." Then he stands up and lifts me by my ass. He sits me on the table and steps all the way against me. He gives me a deep rough kiss, then kisses my neck.
"NO. EAT FOOD."
He lays his head on my shoulder and puts his hands on the table. He shakes his head right in my shoulder.
"Yes. The visitors have been there for 2 hours waiting for you. It is nearly lunch. I am very happy you 2 managed to put yourselves together today, but now you need to eat again. And drink blood. Bring them both blood."
"Of course."
"Sit in seats." Kina pushes Alden's arm, and he sits in his spot. Then she gets me down into my spot. "Now you eat. Then you go to the office. You can get a few things done today." She stands beside us the entire time we eat.
"Now you go to your office."
"Can I come?"
He wraps his arms around me and pulls me against him. "Of course, baby. I love having you there."
I smile and give him a kiss.
"NO. WALK. I SWEAR."
We hold hands all the way to his office. Kina goes in before us.
He gives me 1 more kiss before we head in. I bite his lip lightly and he grabs my ass.
"GET IN HERE NOW."
We go in all snuggly and some of Nadine's table is visiting. They aren't her boys though. Victor and Alkawn move down a seat, so I can sit on Alden's right side. We sit, and he takes my hand and kisses it.
Jenny stands up, "I'm going shopping."
Clark says. "Sit down."
Kina rubs her eyes in the middle of the floor. Then she screams. "I SWEAR."
A woman jumps up from the other side of the table. "It'll be ok. Let's go have a drink. Kane, make them behave."
The man sitting at the end of the table smirks. "This is a lot of kids."
Alkawn nods. "Yes it is."
"I NEED TO SHOP."
"SIT DOWN."
I bat my eyelashes at Alden. He rubs my leg under the table and tries to kiss my cheek. I turn and kiss his lips instead.
"VICTOR GET HER." Clark throws a wadded up paper at him.
I sit on Alden's lap. "You're so warm sir."
"I SWEAR I'M GOING TO THROW YOU OUT OF THE WINDOW WHEN YOU PUT ME DOWN."
"You're so sexy woman." He gives me another little kiss.
"ENOUGH." The man at the end of the table stands up and yells.
Victor is holding Jenny over his shoulder. Alkawn is staring at his phone. Alden and I are making out.
Clark drags a brain into the room. "I found it."
Omar nods. "Thank you."
Alkawn stands up. "Possible sighting in another abandoned werewolf village."
Alden stands up and drops me in his seat. "Kings guard on the queen."
Clark runs out. "MAKE MADDIE COME UP HERE."
Victor carries Jenny out. "I CAN WALK."
"I'll be back soon, angel." Alden kisses my head.
Omar stands up. "Wait, we have ways to make magical doors. It'll make your lives easier."
Alkawn shakes his head and goes to the door, "It's not that far."
"I'll get you there in 3 seconds. I'll come too." Omar leaves with them.
It's only me and Kane in here. "Hello."
"Hello Mayra."
"I want to be Kehlani now."
"Hello Kehlani."
"What do you need?"
"A lot of stuff, actually. More of our group is here. They are still on the ship. We're supposed to buy all kinds of s**t and find more magical things."
"Yea, that's fine. You can roam the planet as you wish. Don't hurt anybody. Unless they're assholes. Or my brother. But he's an asshole too... I guess just try not to hurt nice people."
"I will make a note. I also wanted to ask about the attack on you."
"I don't want to talk about it."
"We don't have to talk about the attack. I actually want to talk about after it. Do you mind if I ask some questions about it? And you don't have to answer anything. We're trying to understand. 500 years is so damn long."
"You can ask. I'm not promising anything."
"Fair enough. During the attack. What is the very last thing you remember?"
"Fane swinging a big rock at my head. Blackness after that."
"Now the next time you opened your eyes was?"
"With Alden. In my room."
"So for 500 years, you have absolutely nothing?"
"Correct. Knocked out 1 day and woke up 500 years later. It felt like the attack was the day before. I have nothing between."
"We had a case awhile back. A group of magicians attacked a young prince. They hurt him badly. Then they kept him for 60 years. They tortured him during those 60 years. To him, it wasn't 1 attack and then he woke up. He was attacked multiple times during the 60 years. Now we can't figure out why he wouldn't have killed you. Or why he would have left you alone. Alden, let us read the case report of how you were found. Clean room for magic, dragon suppressed. Fane left you waiting. Do you have any theory as to why?"
"A few. He could have been planning to torture me, like the prince was in your case. Maybe he gave up after a while and sealed the room." I stare at the table for a minute. "I do remember him saying something about killing my mate during the attack. Maybe he wanted to kill the only person that would be stronger than him. Maybe it was all a trap for Alden. That seems wrong though. He could have killed me and never had to deal with Alden."
"That's kind of what we thought too."
"But he was f****d in the head. Maybe he was looking forward to a good challenge."
He smirks. "Any other theories?"
"He didn't know how to kill a royal dragon." He stares at me with his eyebrows up. "It's not common knowledge here and even back then, my family was 1 of 5 royal bloodlines. It would have been hard to find that information. All the kings kept it highly secret. It's possible he still doesn't know how. The directions are not communicated."
"Your table needs to know."
"Yea, I just realized that. I'll take them to my ship and tell them."
"You won't even say it in this office?"
"I won't say it on this planet. Technology now, here, is something different. We could be being recorded by Fane now. Or his followers. Or random humans that will sell the information. Then it will eventually be out for everyone. Those boxes that every single person on the planet carries," He nods, "They can be left in rooms and hidden. They will record everything. The footage can be played on other phones or tv's all over the world while it's happening. The people may not even know they're being recorded."
Kane looks at the brain, "Can you search for recording devices?"
"Yes sir."
"Do that. This room."
"Of course." The brain beeps. Then it pulls out a wire from under the table. He does something to it and the wire starts smoking.
I smile. "How many of you are down here?"
"10,000."
"Search every inch of the castle for hidden recording devices and destroy them all."
"Yes ma'am."
Kane rubs his eyes. "Moving forward on the theory that he may not have known how to kill a royal, I want to exhume your parents."
I stare at him. I don't think there's anything else to do or say.
"I don't want you there. It would be too hard for you. I will do it myself with a few people that are on the ship. He could have had them buried with a magic blocker. We don't know. It may be worth checking. If he didn't know how..."
I wipe the tears off my face. "You can't bring 1 back without the other. If 1 is gone, you have to..."
"I will."
"I don't know where they are."
Maddie comes in and spins in a circle. "The king's guard is supposed to be here."
Kane's eyes glaze over, and he runs out of the room. About 4 seconds later, Alden, Clark, Jenny, Victor, and Omar come into the office.
I smile at them. "Kane ran away."
"Why?"
"I don't know."
Maddie smiles. "All I said was the king's guard are supposed to be here."
All of them run out the door too.
"I'm going to stop saying that."
"Probably for the best."
"I love that outfit."
"I'll show you the box. Have a brain bring the box."
"Yes ma'am."
