47. Rules

A couple of days later, we're back on the ship. I sit on my throne and smile. Then I make Alden sit on his. "I'm surprised she's not making you wear the crown, bro." "I NEED THE CROWNS." I run for them. "Thanks asshole." I get them on our heads and sit down and smile again. Everyone kneels. Alden rubs his eyes. "All rise. Why are we in here, baby?" "I figured out how I'm going to do things." Tera crosses her arms after a minute. "You have to tell us then." "Ok. Alden and I aren't ruling any planets except this 1. You're going to rule them. We'll step in when you ask. However, you must agree to rule your planet with our rules, guidelines, and laws. You must implement the technologies we want. You must submit to us and only us before we agree to let you rule the planets under our thrones." Victor scratches his head. "What kind of rules, guidelines, laws, and technologies?" "We don't have any yet. But I would like the planets to eventually have the antimissile technology the horn people planet had. I would like them to be able to defend themselves. At least until we can get there." Alden nods. "Planetary shields." "I don't know how to do that." "Victor, your planet is in a rest period and, honestly, I don't know how to do that. And it's the only planet we have. I remember saying eventually. Once we figure out how to implement something, we'll give you time to upgrade your planets." "How long?" Alden rubs his eyes. "You can negotiate that but if we get the anti-missiles on this planet, we would give you 10 years or so to get them equipped on your planets. We will give you longer than a day to make extreme improvements. If you need more time for a planet, say that. We'll figure it out." Tim nods. "I'll submit, but I don't know about ruling planets." I smile at him. "You don't have to rule or be a king to submit. You could help us with implementing things and making sure the planets and kings are following new rules. I'll never force someone to be a king." Tobias looks at me. "How many planets would you have us rule?" "That will be up to you. It's what you're comfortable with at any given time. Victor may want to stick with 1 for years and make sure it's good. Or he may decide it's fine and let it grow on its own. If that's the case, he may take another planet soon. That's his decision. I'm not forcing planets on people. You know what you can handle." Tera smiles, "I understand, and honestly I like the way you are doing things, but Nadine is queen of all her planets. Are you sure you want to do it so differently?" "Yes. Nadine has 7 mates. I have Alden. The 2 of us would go crazy trying to rule 100 planets. She can divide them with her mates. That works for them, it does not work for us. Plus, we will still reign as high king and queen on your planets." Tobias nods. "I submit. I need a planet now." "You are so competitive with Victor." I lean into Alden and whisper, "He's going to go after the bug planet." Alden rolls his eyes. "First rule. Planets you rule over must have intelligent life that has submitted to you. You are not allowed to take empty planets unless you have a plan for them or need them for another reason. Empty planets do not make you a king, you are claiming the land for your future private use." "Second rule. You are not allowed to kill off any lesser species on any planet. You can not annihilate any life form. Even something as simple as trees. If trees are on a planet, they must remain there. You are not allowed to kill them all." "Third rule." Me and Alden chuckle. I think we got it now. "You are not allowed to take so many natural resources from a planet that you hurt the evolution of the people or animals on that planet. You must work to help each planet you rule to survive and evolve. Do not hurt them. Or take their stuff to build another planet." Victor nods. "What about trade?" "Trades are fine. If you are trading between 2 of your own planets, make sure the trades are as equal as they can be. Include the leaders of the planets. If you and Tobias want to trade between your planets, you would each represent your side. You'd be looking out for your own planet." "Would the leadership on the planet attend that meeting as well?" "That would be up to you. If you think it would benefit the trade negotiations, then they should be." "4th Rule." We laugh at Alden. "If you come across a planet that has a lot of advanced technology. Like the antimissile technology we want. If you trade for that technology, we will come in and take it. We want it on all the planets, not just yours. So if you find it, notify us immediately. Do not purchase it on your own. Unless they don't know what they have and give it to you. But notify us and we will negotiate for it. It should not cost you money or resources if it's going to go to all of our planets." "Can we get me a planet now?" Alden rubs his eyes again. "Tobias, calm down. We don't even have the vows written for the submission. And there will be levels of submission. If you want to rule planets under us, you will be submitting your life to us with no way out. I'll write out 3 levels. People can decide which they want." I throw my crown at Alden. "I HAVE AN IDEA. I JUST NEED... A brain. You come with me. My office." "Yes ma'am." He hands the crowns to another brain. "I'll go work on the vows." Victor throws his hands up. "So, what the hell are we doing?" "Make Elek give you a tour or drive you somewhere." I walk out. "NOT EARTH ELEK." "Not the snake planet either. I need a break from that place." I run back in. "No dinosaurs." He cracks up laughing. "Alright, we'll find somewhere." Alden yells from down the hallway. "NO ALIEN PARASITES EITHER, ELEK." I sit at my conference table with my brain, "I want to make spaceships for the kings who reign under me. I want them to have their own, so they can visit their planets or make trades. How do we do that?" "We need to design it. Then get the materials list. Finally, make them." "Ok. Well, it'll need a command area. Apartments." "How many?" "They will probably need people under them to help. Let's start with 6 apartments and 6 offices. They can be on 1 level. Then it will need to have a medical area, food boxes, food places for growth, brain maker, lasers, all the weapons my ship has, 50 war ships, the shields, a huge storage area, a shuttle bay with 3 shuttles, 15 apartments lower on the ship, not in the command area. Doctors apartment near the medical area. 50 basic staff rooms." "Brains can fill all positions, we do not need staff rooms." "No staff rooms, brain storage room. 50,000 should be held in it. The ship itself needs to be able to use hyperspace. All the technology on this ship. Ability to ping and communicate with other ships. Receive and send transmissions. They need that radar thing." "The command room would be set up like the command room on this ship. There would be no differences in technology." "Perfect. Make sure the rest of the ship has good technology as well; washers and dryers, televisions, things like that. 1 common room that can be a restaurant, dining room, dance club. It can be like a multipurpose room. Anything else that would be required on the ship, you can put in." "This is the ship you are requesting we build." A ship shows up over my desk. It's nearly as big as section A of mine. It'll have a long walkway too. "Why the long walkway?" "Weapons building should be done away from the command area." "I think it's perfect. They'll have their own brains, shuttles for visiting planets. The ships will be defended. Anything missing?" "We have added in key areas such as weapons, cooking, storage, clothing, fabrics, hygiene making areas, thrust, engines," "Great." I cut it off. "What do we need to build it?" "Ore. Several different types. 1 of them is very rare. But needed to make hyperspace available." "They have to have that." "Also, several plants are needed for the fabrics on the ship." "Back to the very rare ore. Do you know where it is?" "We will have to scan for it." "Begin that." "Yes ma'am. How many ships would you be making?" "Let's start with 10. If we can get the supplies." "30,000 brains suggested building them." "That's fine. How many are on the ship?" "100,000. We always remake to that number." "Make 300,000 and stick them over in section b where nobody is." "Yes ma'am. Would you like the holding number increased to 300,000?" "Sure, as long as nobody is over there." "Of course. I will let you know when the location of the ore comes back." "Thank you. How many war ships are on this ship?" "1,000." "Can it hold more?" "There is an area for 500 more. Or it could be used for a future technology that is not made yet." "What is on the warships?" "Communications, 4 rockets, engines, lasers, shields, radar, seat for 1 person or brain, speed control, steering device..." "Can they use hyperspace?" "No." "Thank you. Continue the search for the ore." "Yes ma'am."
