"When you see her, please tell her to come to my office."
Sarah nods her head.
I return back to my office and settle on the couch, loosening a couple of buttons of my shirt before throwing my head back to glare at the ceiling.
I think I'm going crazy.
Yeah. That's got to be it.
Ever since I got here, that damn girl's only ever been on my mind.
I drag my fingers across my hair, closing my eyes, and gritting my teeth. I need to get to the bottom of this.
If she happens to be a witch then I'll have no choice but to get rid of her permanently.
After a few moments of just staying still, I glance to my left to catch the time from the clock hanging on the wall. I can feel my wolf whimpering inside my head just as I land my gaze on the time. It's confusing enough that she's not even my fated mate. I'd have understood the situation if it were that case. But it isn't.
When I met her, it was just a wave of familiarity that surged past me. I didn't feel any connection that gave me a sign that she was my mate.
If I had to properly describe it with words more, she's luring me in the same way a siren lures in their next victim. This is frustrating.
Thirty five minutes.
Thirty five minutes until she returns.
