Elka's Pov On this early afternoon, the clouds diffuse the daylight to a soft gentle sweetness; even out in the street, I could be cozy under my duvet beneath a strong summer light. Sunlight comes as woven strands, free and united, flowing into a day it reveals and solidifies, making the world of our nightly dreams something so beautiful. Each tree is a masterpiece, each wand of grass something magical. And this is our world, our normal everyday world, the present with each rise of the sun that we can marvel at or ignore; the choice is ours, it always was. It doesn't take long for me to arrive at that familiar convenience store. Clicks resonating from the seat belts fly through the air after I've easily parked my car. Stepping out, I make sure it's locked before trotting my way down the path leading to that mini structure. A little bell tinkles above my head to indicate that there's a new customer. My body's swarmed by the wave of the cold breeze seeping from the air condition. My eyes travel down the isles before landing on the long fridge at the very corner of the room. Usually, students stop by here before or after a long day at school. It's one of those places where you can relax and unwind while eating something good at the same time. They have this little table located at the corners facing the glass wall. I'm not actually hungry though. I have a lot of things running in my mind and filling the void in my stomach is the last thing I should be worried about. But of course, knowing that I'll have a long day with Clever later, I'll need all the energy I can gather. The mere thought of my brother makes me release a sigh of exhaustion.
