( To be Rewritten and Revised ) I pick another area to read and relax. Only because I don’t want this day to end yet. And despite Abel being around. I find an empty couch with a cute looking coffee table just at the back of the room. It had a great view of the park and there were less people walking around since it wasn’t connected to the road or street. If I explore some more, I’m pretty sure I can find a door that will lead me to the park. I don’t feel hungry yet. I don’t usually feel hungry when I’m reading though. I exhale in satisfaction upon settling on the couch, leaning back and allowing my eyes to meet the words on the book. I remain that way for the next twenty minutes, mesmerized by the plot written on the pages. After a moment, I hear something that causes me to look to the side. And I subconsciously tsk under my breath. Abel begins putting something on the table, causing me to raise an eyebrow. “What do you think you’re doing?” “What does it look like I’m doing?” He answers back in nonchalance. Albeit he could care less if I give him an answer or not. And what’s with him buzzing around my orbit? Today was supposed to be my me time. Me and only me and not with somebody else. I stare at the drinks and burgers and fries that sat on the table before flickering my eyes to stare at him. The latter casually takes the couch that sat across from me. “Help yourself.” “You know this is a library right? We can’t eat here. We might get kicked out if we get caught.” I whisper as to not let anyone hear what I’m saying. He pops a French fry inside his mouth and chews, swallowing.” They won’t kick us out. Trust me. So eat up.” Why is he doing this? I scratch the side of my head, suddenly feeling exhausted. Could it be that my free time is ruined? I just wanted to read the day away. And maybe enjoy a little karaoke all by myself. But now that he’s meddling with my planned schedule, I don’t think I’m enjoying this. If I knew this would happen, I would have stayed at home babysitting my brothers. He pushes the burger further to my direction, gesturing me to eat it. I show a hesitant smile, accepting the offer nonetheless. He said we won’t get kicked out? I’ll take his word for it.
