Lark was still sleeping soundly in my arms. Grace was starting to chirp in her nest to wake us up for a new day. She was a great little wake up call each morning. It never bugged me to listen to the little bird. I placed my face up against Lark’s back and left a few kisses on her skin while breathing in deeply. This is when I realized that I could smell her scent. Last night when we settled in bed, I thought it was my bedding but now I realize it’s her. She smells like fresh laundry. The only being that had a distinct special smell was our true mates and I was thrilled that I was getting to smell her. All wolves
