Cleo Martin In the Gaia Capital City of the main planet Evergreen, in a private medical facility situated at the central commercial district. Five days passed in a blink of an eye. Syr’s condition has already stabilized three days ago and she looks even healthier now than before she was in an accident. Doctor Steven never felt that his patient could recover so fast, and Syr is even a patient that he deemed impossible to wake up in the month that she was in a coma. But looking at the rosy cheeked and healthy complexion of the beautiful young lady in the bed in front of him, Doctor Steven could only accept the miracle that happened. Although the medical field ushered in a new era due to the addition of the amazing advanced medical technologies researched and bought from the different higher civilizations, the issue of the soul and mind is still a hurdle that cannot be passed easily without the accumulation of even tens of thousands of years, and the greatest example are the deteriorating situation of a coma patient that may eventually lead to a brain dead condition. “Doctor Steven, I’m already recovered enough, so can I officially leave the hospital?” Syr did not beat around the bush the moment she saw her doctor, entering her patient room for his rounds. She is really in a much better state than the past Syraen’s body due to her dragon soul, and it is mere torture to stay cooped up inside the hospital without anything to do. Syr wanted to experience the world outside the white walls of the hospital, especially to a world that is entirely new and foreign to her. The eager expression on that youthful and gorgeous face made Doctor Steven helpless and amused. He had made his rounds three times a day, and he gradually got to know Syr in the five days that they have interacted. Syr’s confident, frank and lively personality aligned with Doctor Steven’s good graces, and he even treated Syr as a little sister in his heart. “Alright, I’ll inform the front desk to process your discharge forms. You will be able to leave in the afternoon, so I suggest for you to call your family to let them know.” Doctor Steven decisively agreed to her request. Syr’s condition really does not need for her to stay in the hospital for long, and Doctor Steven is worried that she might feel down and depressed if she stays inside the confines of her patient room any longer. The staff of the hospital will also inform the family of the patient about the issue of discharging the patient, but it is still better for Syr to contact her family herself. Doctor Steven noticed that in the month long coma, it is only the Syr’s elder brother that visited, and it is the same when she woke up. Not even a shadow of her parents stepped foot in the hospital which greatly disappoints Doctor Steven. The private medical facility that he works for is a famous facility in the Capital city, and it is the place where most of the illustrious families send their family members in case of an emergency or an ailment. Being situated in the central commercial district of the Capital city also entails the powerful background of the Director of the facility, so Doctor Steven knows that Syr’s identity must that be of a young lady from a powerful family, but it seems her life isn’t that good for her parents to not even visit her at the time when she was at her lowest. Feeling sad for Syr, Doctor Steven treated her morel like a family than a patient. Syr have also noticed the warm personality of her doctor and felt gratified. She had already placed Doctor Steven under her wings, as a part of the people that she deemed worthy of her sincere friendship. And after getting his approval, Syr immediately sent a message to her family members, whether they want to receive her message or not. She has a new family and she wanted to treat them as such, but it depends on them on what kind of attitude she may have when facing them. After all, she is a principled dragon princess that pays her debt sincerely, whether it is a debt of gratitude or ill intent. “025 please put my clothes and belongings into my luggage. We will be leaving in an hour.” Syr did not act awkwardly as she naturally ordered housekeeper 025 to do her biddings. She has been the dragon princess of the Black dragon Kingdom for 300 years, and she had long got used to ordering her servants around. Although it is entirely different to have a servant that is not alive, it is the same for Syr whether she has one or not. The only advantage of having one is that she would be free from doing the miscellaneous things in life which is really efficient. Seeing the flexible movement of housekeeper 025’s silver metallic body as he folded and neatly placed her clothes on the small black luggage in the bed along with her other necessities, Syr really applauds in her heart the genius minds of the humans at this time for creating the things called robots. The efficiency of the medical facility staff is really commendable. Syr only waited for a quarter of an hour before her discharge signed form was sent to her quantum chip. She only needed to sign her name and the staff directly gave the medical pass. Syr is instantly energized at the sight of the medical pass in her hands and urged housekeeper 025 to leave quickly. She already called Quinn about wanting to sightsee around the central commercial district before going home. In Syraen’s memories, Syr found out that she barely went out of the Viscount’s manor aside from going to the Royal capital college that most sons and daughters of aristocrats go to. So Syr wanted to use this free time to tour around the most prosperous place of the Capital city. Syr exited her patient room with a bright smile on her enchanting face that made the passersby to turn around for another look at her visuals. Most of the patients in this medical facility belong to the higher class and they are much more used to seeing beautiful and handsome individuals, but they still couldn’t help to gasp in their hearts in awe at Syr’s outstanding and peerless looks. Doctor Steven waited for Syr at the elevator to send her off out of the medical facility. The three, two human and one robot silently arrived at the first floor which is the lounge area of the facility. There are few individuals in the lounge, and most are staffs of the facility with few cleaning robots orderly doing their duties. Even with the era at the peak of high technology with Artificial intelligence, robotics and mechas famous for the betterment of the society, it is still rare to see one person bringing an intelligent robot out, so Syr was instantly met with strange looks once she took a step outside the huge glass doors of the medical facility because of housekeeper 025. Doctor Steven noticed the stares too, and he awkwardly scratched the tip of his nose. “You should place 025 in the storage.” Doctor Steven suggested and Syr instantly nodded. She understood that most of the intelligent robots are only stationed at home or the office, it isn’t illegal but there had been instances wherein someone used their intelligent robot to commit a crime by hacking into that intelligent robot’s mainframe, and if it wasn’t for the quick response of the military command branch station at that small city, the victim could have suffered until he died. That is the reason why the masses tacitly agreed to not bring any intelligent robots out in the open, and only stationed them to the duties indoors. The company behind the creation of the intelligent robots doubled up their defense in the main system to stop such ridiculous things from happening again, though it is really not their fault as the culprit of that incident is one of the famous three black hackers of the human civilization that is still wanted across the human civilization’s territory to this very day. It once spurned a gossip in the star network that the victim of that incident is a wretched man that r***d the cousin of that famous black hacker, but due to the powerful background of the former, the black hacker could only use such illegal means to get back on the other. Syr shook her head at the memories of that incident that was remembered by Syraen due to it being on the official news of the star network. She encoded the password on her quantum chip by following the memories in her mind and she watch wide-eyed as housekeeper 025’s 6 foot figure assembled and folded itself until only a palm-sized silver box is left floating in front of her. Syr immediately erased the shocked expression on her face lest she aroused Doctor Steven’s suspicion. “Doctor Steven, thank you for taking care of me when I was in coma and this past five days. I’m really grateful to you.” Syr humbly and politely smiled at the other with heartfelt gratitude. It is from the original Syraen and from herself. It is not every time that one could meet a really sincere doctor that doesn’t only care about the benefits a patient could bring them. Syraen’s condition is already at a dangerous lever nearing death, and it is only Doctor Steven who took her in as his patient even with the pressure of a negative outcome, especially with Syraen’s identity of a viscount’s daughter that could lead Doctor Steven to an unfortunate end if she had really died. Syr had heard of it from the two nursing staff that took care of her everyday needs when she was in a coma. Doctor Steven felt a sincere pride to his profession, his smile at Syr turned brighter and gentler as they bid their goodbyes after leaving each other’s contact information. Syr walked out of the covered parking space in front of the medical facility, and a bustling metropolis filled with the metallic flavor of technology along with the picturesque scenery of billions of stars freely flowing in the horizon ignited the brilliant lights to erupt in the golden pupils of the dragon princess from another world. The high-rise buildings in front of her and the orderly cosmic ships flying across the sky lines and earth lines along with the hustle and bustle of the people going to and fro in the lined up luxurious shops that dotted the first floors of each buildings shows how prosperous the central commercial district is. Syr snapped out of her dazed state as she went to cross the wide pedestrian crossing next to the public cosmic ship stop to go to the other side of the busy roads. She noticed a low-key luxurious place that looked like a restaurant, and her stomach instantly decided to go there first. The building seems to be a hotel and the restaurant and café on the first floor is for the efficiency of saving time for the busy customers of the hotel, especially with a lot of businessman and tourists checking in and out of it. Syr looked up the oppressing height of the hotel and before she could take a step inside the transparent huge glass door of the hotel lounge to go to the restaurant, an aggressive force collided with her right shoulder that could make any normal person to fall backwards, so Syr deliberately took a few steps back to not look weird when she felt nothing, and the one that rudely passed by her without looking at where she’s going was the one to bear the brunt of their own actions. The young lady harshly fell on her buttocks on the cold marbled floor in front of the hotel, and Syr could even hear the impact from it which made her fingers twitch though she did not feel sorry for the other one bit. The space around Syr is so wide for ten people to pass by without feeling crowded, but the other spontaneously walked out of the hotel directly into Syr without looking at anyone as if she’s the only one privileged to walk in the vicinity. The young lady sprawled in front of her reminded Syr of the arrogant and despotic royals of the other races in Meos that disdains to lay their eyes on the lowly masses.
