Chapter 5“It’s Chris, are you still there?” he asked and Danni could only shake her head at how stupid she had been. Why had she fallen for that? There was no reason for her to ever fall for that stupid trick. How dumb could she be? She wanted to scream and throw the phone across the room, but she knew that this was inevitable.
“What do you want, Chris?” she demanded from him and she knew that this wasn’t going to go the way that he had imagined it. However he saw it playing out, he was in for a rude awakening. He was going to be devastated and he was going to be heartbroken when this conversation ended.
