The irritating sound of Edward drumming his fingers impatiently against the steering wheel was getting on Trey’s nerves. He shifted in his seat and looked out the passenger window in an effort to distract himself. It didn’t work. There wasn’t much he could see in the streets they passed, considering Edward drove as though he was in a death race audition. The tyres of the black GT Maserati skid on the smooth road on a particular corner taken too fast for comfort, causing Trey to be pulled towards the car door despite the seat belt secured around his body. Trey jerked his head towards Edward. “Do you plan to get us there in one piece or is an ambulance ride part of the plan?” “What?” Edward asked distractedly.
