Edward paused, contemplating whether to take the call in the kitchen or outside out of hearing range. It was clear he had the attention of all the three people in the room. He did not mind Trey and Gabriel listening. In fact, if it had only been them, he would have placed the call on the speaker, so they all listened freely. But she was in the room as well.
Another option was to ask her to step out to the bedroom. Or he could step outside with the two men. Edward frowned. Neither of those options pleased him much.
“Are you still there?” Trick asked on the phone after the silence had gone on a little too long.
“Yeah, still here,” he answered. f**k it. Edward cleared his throat. His voice got firmer and dropped a few degrees. “Let’s have it… what did you find out?”
