It was the first time in years that I didn't have a nightmare. I slept like a baby, and it was all because of Killian. Our bond was already helping me, and we hadn't done anything extraordinary. Killian was still holding me close by, grabbing me by my waist, and I thanked the Goddess that I wasn't on top of him; that would have been embarrassing. "Imagine if we had drooled all over him," Linda commented. "Don't joke about that, Linda; I wouldn't know what to do," I said, embarrassed. "I think Killian would have enjoyed it," She snickered, and I rolled my eyes. Linda was in a good mood; usually, when we woke up, she was grumpy from the lack of sleep, but today it was completely different. Now I could see why people said that the mate bond was magical.
