30 Once we’d started travelling again, I realised it had been a long time since I’d heard from Darion. I decided to call him and was surprised to find out they’d been busy fighting off a large dinosaur – among other things. Darion was exhausted, but he let me read his thoughts to find out what had happened. As they trudged through the dense undergrowth, they stumbled upon the camp of the Bahadori. Going in there and making them release their captives was against the rules, no matter how much they wanted to do it. No interfering with the natives. Of course, this meant circling around the camp at a distance that would ensure they wouldn’t be seen or heard.
