Can I court you?

SAMANTHA's POV

After I came back from the bake shop, I went straight to my condo. I don't know why the person who has his back on me all day doesn't disappear from my mind, from school to the bake shop and I also don't know why I'm curious about him.

When I entered the condo, it seemed quiet so I knew that Mich had already gone home. I decided to shower first and got dressed before I went down to the kitchen.

"Mich is really nice, she has prepared dinner for me. I'll just heat it up first. " I turned on the stove to heat the food and walked to the fridge and got one pitcher of water. While I was pouring water to a glass, a person I hadn't seen for a long time suddenly flashed on my mind.

I leaned on the side of the counter top and crossed my legs, my arm folded on my chest my elbow leaned onto it while holding the glass, the tip of it sticking on the lower part of my lips.

"How is she? The last time we met was in the parking lot, when she rescued me from that man." I said to myself while staring into nothingness. "I hope we meet again."

I suddenly stood straight when I realized something. Wait! Does the person I saw earlier look like her? But it's not possible. CJ is a bit thinner than the person back there!

I am really curious about that person but I guess, I'm thinking too much lately. I was in my deep in thought when I heard something knocking on the door of my condo. I turned off the stove first before I went to the door and slammed it open to see if who the heck was breaking my door!

"Who the f**k-?"

"Samantha! What took you so long to open the door?!" Claire sneered at me.

"I'm sorry. I'm in the kitchen so I didn't hear your knocks." I explained to her.

"Forgiven b***h! Mind if come in? Unless you don't want me to because you're blocking the door." She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Oh s**t! My bad." I said with an awkward laugh then opened the door wide and let her in.

"Hey do you have something to eat? I'm hungry really hungry and my head hurts, it's been a day but my hangover still here." She whimpered at me, caressing her flat stomach and her other hand massaging her forehead.

"Wow, I miss you too, Claire." I said with sarcastically as I cross my arms and rolled my eyes.

She suddenly turned to look at me, she even paused her yawns and her mouth stuck wide open. "Awe.. I miss you Samantha." She cooed as she give me hug and kisses my cheek at the same time. "Now .. do you have any food there?"

I just gave her another deadly snort and walked to the kitchen first, followed by the witch.

"Hmmm I can smell something delicious.." She said while sniffing around the kitchen until she found my heated food on the stove. She took a place and serve herself without asking for my permission. I mean, I don't really mind about it because she's been doing that even before, but hello? aren't she supposed to greet me normally like, 'Surprised b***h, I'm here! or anything about how girls are so happy to have a little reunion like others.

I also prepared myself a dinner and sat down in front of my friend who's continuously shoving food inside her mouth.

"When did you arrived?" I asked.

She swallowed the food in her mouth before speaking. "Last night. I didn't go here because it was the first day of your class, right?"

"Yeah, so when do you plan to enroll?" I asked again.

"Tomorrow, don't be excited?" She sneered that a piece of meat even fell from her mouth. "By the way, I have to tell you something after we eat. I went to a bar and wow, I have never seen a bar like last night, and there's a handsome—."

"Chill, girl." I cut off what she was saying, because she will continue once she started even if she says she will tell it later and the ending was that she would not be able to consume the food in front of her.

"Fine fine, let's talk later." She dismissed and continue her food. I just shook my head at her while smiling widely, I certainly missed this girl.

After we ate she volunteered to do the dishes, because she plans to drink even just a beer while we talk.

I went out of the condo to buy beer at a convenient store around the vicinity, so I decided to just walk to it. When I got inside of the store, all eyes are on me, as if they had just seen an actresa, everyone stopped from what they are doing and following their gazes and every step I make, which caused me to feel shy when I stopped in front of the big refrigerator, I couldn't will myself to open it and get the beer. Then one crew suddenly popped out on my side.

"Ma'am what can I do for you? Let me help you." He said smiling, he's obviously trying to act cute but sadly, it's not effective so I shook my head my refusal.

"Uh no thanks I can manage." I uttered.

"I insist ma'am."

"I said no thanks." I said and pursed my lips tightly.

"Ma'am I just want to-

"Don't you hear what she said Jerk?" We both looked back when we heard someone spoke behind us. It's Zairell. I immediately looked behind her, hoping to see if she was with the person who's been occupying my mind lately, but to my dismay, she wasn't there.

"What the f**k did you say?" The crew asked ruggedly.

"Leave." Zai says authoritatively giving the crew a sharp look.

"Ha? Why would I follow you ?! Are you crazy?! ”The man growled at her.

"I said leave!" Zai told him emphatically. They were just glaring into each other so I decided to intervened, until a woman approached us, who I think was the store manager.

"What's going on in here?" She asked with an attitude, then she looked at me with her eyebrows raised.

"Ma'am I just want to help this beautiful lady here but all of a sudden that person butted in. I was just trying to help." The crew explained.

The manager turned in to face Zai but she first looked at me from head to toe and returned to my face and her eyebrows raised even more.. I didn't let her win so I also raised my left eyebrow and glare at her.

I didn't back down so she spontaneously regained her gaze and turned to Zai who was now busy getting in can beers and putting them in the basket she was carrying.

"Excuse me? My crew just wanted to help the woman. What seems to be the problem here?!" The manager asked ruggedly.

I was about to speak when Zai preceded me. "Both of you. Leave .." her voice was cold when she said that and I heard the manager gasped.

"Who are you to say tha-

"Leave before I could lose my temper Ms. Pangilinan!" Why does Zai have the courage to get rid of these two just like that?

"How could you-" Zai was running out of patience and she finally spin around to face them. The woman's eyes widened when she saw Zai. Ok? It's really confusing guys. "S-sir I didn't know that it was you." Now she stammers, she lost her composure. "I'm s-so sorry s-sir." She added as she bowed her head.

"Now.." Zai said lowly, and slowly she approached the woman and held her chin to make their eyes meet. I was just amazed looking at them. "My princess.. what are you saying before? What's seems to be the problem here? Hmmm is this how you treated the costumer.. huh? Answer me darling."

"Im so sorry s-sir. I would fire him right away if you w-want Sir." I was just looking at them and I still couldn't believe after the table has turned.

"What if I fire you both?" Zai said, that's when I snapped out and I grabbed her arm to pull her away. The woman is already pale while the guy are all confused looking at them.

"Zai... That's enough, no need to do that." I said.

She looked at me and smiled and then faced the manager. "I'll deal with you later." She said and waved her hand dismissively, the manager quickly obey and drag her staff with her. When they are both gone, Zai turned to face me. "What are you even doing outside at this hour?" She asked a bit irritated but it was pure concern.

"I just want to buy beers for my best friend who just got arrived here in the Philippines." I explained shyly

"Really?" She asked amusedly and shook her head. "Take everything you need and let me help you." She said.

"Thank you." I immediately took 10 pieces of in can beers and put them in the basket, Zai also carried it while I was looking for some snack.

"Destiny is really playful, isn't it? "Zai suddenly asked me, which made me frown confusedly.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"What I mean is, the person I know was almost gey crazy to find the certain woman, she even thought that maybe the woman was just on vacation here in the philippines and left the country. But she wouldn't have thought that the woman was just around." She said in one breath while shaking her head.

My brows furrowed. "So... what are you implementing by that?" I asked completely confused.

"Nothing, you'll find it out soon.. are you done?" Zai said, I can't really understand what she's trying to say, or maybe she's telling me things that I don't really have any idea what is it.

"Ah yeah.." I went to the counter to pay for what I took. The guy was still there at the counter and Zai and she couldn't look at us properly. After I paid everything, Zai also volunteered to carry what I bought. When I turned around, she suddenly spoke.

"By the way.. you're fired!" Zairell said authoritatively, while pointing at the man on the counter.

The two women who were with him at the counter literally widened their eyes. I was also frozen. "But sir-"

"No buts! Now leave my store.." Zai said with stern voice. She didn't looked back again and quickly walked out of the store. "Hey Sam, are you coming or what?" She called, getting my attention.

"Ha? Ah yeah coming.." I immediately obeyed and almost running closer to him. "You didn't have to do that.." I said as I approached her.

"Let it be, by the way, where you heading? I'll drive you home.”

"Just around in the nearby condo building, let's just walk." We were just walking quietly when she suddenly spoke.

"You know that man, I've heard a lot that he's been insulting the costumers, so if I didn't arrived, you would probably be his next victim. I'll be dead by my best friend! And even worse could happen to that man just in case." She said while scratching the back of her head.

I suddenly remember that time when CJ saved me from a man who tried to hurt me. I still can't believe how she ruthlessly beat that guy knowing that she's still a woman, but I guess, she still has that strong side. I couldn't help but to smile when I remembered that and Zai noticed me. "Ey, you remember someone?" She teased as she poked my side and I flinched. "Don't worry, she always remember you too."

"We haven't meet again since the last time. How is she?" I asked.

"If you only know, she's been hoing back and forth to that mall, just to try her luck to meet you again." Zairell snorted.

"I was too busy to my shops that I don't have time to visit that certain mall." I hissed to myself, if I didn't spent my entire free time to my shop, we should've meet by any chance. I'm so stupid!

Zai and I, continue our conversation, mostly about CJ and I noticed that we were right in front of my condo building.

"We're here. Thank you for saving me to that guy and for walking me home." She handed me the things I bought and kissed me on the cheek, then I bid goodbye before entering the lobby.

As soon as I entered my unit, I found my best friend, frowning in the middle of the living room.

"You b***h!!! Why took you so long?! For just 10 bottles of beer and a few pieces of snack, you've gone for almost half day! Don't tell me you met your boyfriend on your way and didn't even tell me that you have one?!" Oh my god, how can she be so advance to think such things like that? I was just about to open my mouth when she speaks again.. "Oh my God! Don't tell me you've make out with your boyfriend that's why you took so long?!"

Remind me not to keep her waiting too long again.

"Shut up, Claire! You and your big mouth! I just bumped a friend outside.. you're so unbelievable!" I sneered as I put the beer I was carrying on the center table. "You know what? Let's just start to drink, I have school to attend tomorrow!" I added and I slumped down on the carpeted floor. She was glaring at me as she sat down next to me but didn't say anything again.

We started drinking and talking, she also told me what happened in a bar, where she met a hot lesbians and a friend of her even vomited on her.

"You know, if only Chrys and I will be together, I would be fine with it.. she's so hot and pretty handsome, she even fired up the dance floor and she heated up the crowd. God, I'm so in love with her." She said while seems having a day dream and her palms were clasped against her chest, looking in front of her, her eyes even sparkling. I think she really like that person. But after a few second, her daydreaming face suddenly replaced with a frown. " Tsk, I suddenly remember the look of her friend! She's so annoying, I really should have gone her bald!"

"Forget about her, you've already gotten your revenge! That's enough and let's go to sleep. We're still early for tomorrow." I said as I got up and glanced at the clock hanging over the door. It's 12:38 am. I only have few hours to sleep, for sure I'll look like zombie tomorrow. "Just sleep here for tonight, Mich will take care of the clutter tomorrow, let's go to my room. " I said while yawning.

She stood up groggily that she needs to grip the edge of my couch to support herself, she was drunk because I only had two in can of beers while she had eight. I just let her to continue her story while she's opening beers consecutively and I'm just watching her getting her ass drunk. I even told her about CJ and she also wanted to meet her, but I told her that I don't know how, I'm just waiting for the fate to make way to let us meet one day.

I led her up to my room and we both fell into my bed, she so heavy for f**k sake. "b***h that hurts!" She growled.

That was the last words I heard before I closed my eyes and fell asleep completely.

Loud knocks made me startled, followed by loud voice. "Samantha, wake up, you'll be late for your class." Mich shouted behind the door. My eyes were still half closed when I got up and lazily sat down. My head hurts so much even though didn't drink much last night. I got up and groggily walked to the bathroom, but before I could open the bathroom door, I heard a whimper. "Urghh Sammy don't be naughty I'm still sleepy." Claire said while still asleep.. I took my slipper and threw her before getting inside the bathroom quickly. I heard her shouting and cursing at me.

"Ouch! Damn you Samantha Gail!" I just laughed in the bathroom while taking off my clothes. When I let my body soak under the cold shower, I felt a little relieved somehow. After I took a bath, Claire walked through me but when she was about to enter the bathroom, she slapped my ass hardly.

"Ouch!" I groaned in pain. "b***h!"

"I know." She scowled with an eye roll.

"Get lost, you w***e! I said without looking at her but I know she was holding back herself not to jump on me.

"f**k you!" She yelled before slamming the door hardly and I laughed triumphantly.

When we arrived at school, I first accompanied Claire to the admission office before going straight to my room. I'm still a bit far to my room but I could see Arc standing in the corridor across my room.

"Hi good morning!" He greeted cheerfully with a smile.

"Morning.." I reciprocate. I noticed that he was holding a long stem red rose. "Wow! Looks like you're courting one of my classmate ah .. who might it be?" I teased as peeked inside to see who Arc was courting but when I heard nothing from him, I looked back at him but Arc handed me the flower.

"Arc what's this?" I asked confusedly.

"Uh Sam, I know this is too sudden and I don't really want to make it long, but can I court you?" I was stunned by what he said and could not speak immediately.

Gosh! She's so lucky.

Wow! Arc really has good eyes with beautiful ladies.

They looked good together!

People don't really know how to mind their own business ey? Before I could answer, I noticed that the person I saw at the cafeteria and in my bakeshop, was casually walking across the field to the bench.

"Hey Sam, can I?" I looked back at Arc who had been waiting for my answer, even the other students are waiting for my response. Good heavens! I'm not prepared!

"Ah uh Arc.. uhm.." I looked like a fool while scratching the back of my head because I can't even find a words how to respond to his question. Should I say that I don't like him because I already had eyes on someone? but I don't want to be rude.

Fortunately, there was a loud student pushed everyone that was blocking her path which caused everyone's attention shifted to her.

"Excuse me! Guys, y'all blocking the way!" I remember her with the group yesterday. "Oh hey! It's you again, by the way, my name is Yhen" She introduced with a wink. "It's a pity I'm in a hurry. I'll court you later. Bye!" She said and kissed my cheek before leaving. She didn't even notice Arc, who's now has gloomy face while glaring at Yhen's back, while the students are laughing at what just had occurred.

I admit, I was too stunned for ehat Yhen did to me, but what made me more stunned and surprised was when she shouted a very familiar name.

"Hey CJ! I've been looking for you!" Yhen shouted.

CJ?

Is she the CJ I know?

But there are lot of CJ in the world.

But why do I feel like she's the CJ I'm looking for?

I looked at the person who got called as CJ and my eyes widened when I saw it running away and its back still facing me.

Goddamn it!"
