She wants to court me

SAMANTHA's POV

"Come to tink about it, Sam. Your knight in shining armor is my ultimate crush. The world is really small, ain't it?" Claire said, breaking the silence inside the car. I didn't respond as I looked straight at the road while driving.

I'm still thinking about what Arc said and the change in CJ's mood ..

What's wrong with those two and why do her friends seem to be so mad with Arc.

"Oh my god— Samantha! Damn it, if you want to die, please do not include me, I still haven't found my husband!" Chloe yelled at me as I suddenly stepped on the brakes when I noticed we were about to collide at the car in front of us. I didn't notice that the traffic light was already red.

"Sorry! sorry!" I apologize, I just combed my hair using my fingers in extreme frustration.

"Are you okay?" Chloe asked me, when I looked at her, I saw the concern in her eyes.

"Sorry Claire, I'm just thinking about something." I replied in a soft voice.

"Just think about it later when we got home, you're driving, you have to be on focus or it might be the reason of our death." I didn't say anything again and the traffic light turned green so I just drove again.

When I arrived at the condo, Mich was already gone, so I just put my bag on the center table of the living room and went straight to the kitchen because my stomach has been growling since we left the university. I also ignored the woman behind me who was also looking for something to eat. Mich has already cooked so I don't have to cook anymore. I just heated it in the oven and went up to my room to change clothes.

When I came down, I saw my good best friend already eating the food I heated for me. "Wow, Great! You're already eating." I said sarcastically as I sat across her.

"It took you a while to get change so I ate first." She replied and still continue shoving food in her mouth.

"Tsk! What else can I do?" I also grabbed a plate and spooned my own food. We were just quietly eating when Claire suddenly spoke.

"Is it true that Arc is your suitor?" She asked.

"Huh? All I know is that I haven't agreed to him yet." I replied, shaking my head.

Flashback....

"Hey Sam, is it okay?" I looked at Arc who had been waiting for my answer.

"Huh? uh uhm.. Don't you think it's too fast? we just met yesterday, right?" I said while scratching the side of my head.

"I will just court you, I'm not asking you to be my girlfriend yet." He said chuckling, but I'm not really prepared for this kind of situation, I'm not even expecting something like this when I decided to continue my study here.

"I will just think about if first, I hope you understand." I said, smiling awkwardly.

"it's ok Samantha, I'll just wait until you agree." He replied and his happy face was suddenly replaced with a sad one.

End of flashback....

"He's quite handsome, why haven't you agreed yet?" Claire asked after I told the story of what happened when Arc and I talked.

"Hmm, let's say that he's not really my type and I'm not really looking for a boyfriend and to be honest, I don't want to lead the person and in the end, I will have to reject him."

"But in fairness when Arc said that he was your suitor, Chrys' reaction was so serious, right? it seems like..." She paused. And looked at me meaningfully. "—she's jealous ..." she added.

I smiled at what she said. "Do you think she's really jealous?" I asked. please say YES! Because that's what I noticed too but I don't want to assume quickly.

"Don't get your hopes up, your eyes telling me that you also assumes." Claire scoffed as and she stood up while laughing.

I lost my smile and frowned at her. "You're crazy!"

"I'm leaving..thanks for the foods, Mich is really good at cooking!" She said while caressing her bloated tummy.

"You're great too, aren't you? Eat and run." I said.

"I'll just get it make it up next time." She said as she walked towards the door, but she turned again, "—but Sam, if Chrys will be your suitor, I would vote more for her. Aside of being pretty handsome, I can see that you like her too and you both look good together."

"Isn't she your ultimate crush? Why do you seems giving her to me?" I asked and playfully rolled my eyes to her.

"Obviously you are her type but because I'm prettier than you and I can easily find the one for me, I'll just let her go to you." She proudly said.

"Wow! You're unbelievably crazy, now go away so I can rest! " I shooed her away while I'm waving my hand. She just rolled her eyes and turned her heels but before she could finally leave, I called her again. "You and Yhen look good together." I teased.

"Ew! Never in my dreams that I would go to that kind of person!" She said disgustingly and pretends to gag.

"Never talk too early, Claire." I teases more and she frowned.

"Stop nauseating me Samantha Gail! I may not stop myself and I'll hit you!" She said as she acted like she's going to hit me for real.

"Tsk! One day, I will just find out that you and Yhen are already a thing." I continued to tease her.

She didn't answer and just went outside and closed the door hardly, leaving me laughing my ass out. She's really easily to snap.

The next day I went in early again. Claire didn't ride with me because she said she was trying to drive now. When we arrived at the parking lot, Claire and I were walking in at the same time, when we were stopped by five cars that arrived consecutively. Almost all of the students also stopped and seemed to be waiting for anyone to get off the newly arrived vehicles.

Anna got out of the pink car first, followed by Keisha who got out of her red car. Next was Yhen. Other students approached them, taking pictures and asking for an autographs. Later, Zai got out of his Gray sports car. The other female students squeals and quickly surrounded Zai.

I’m waiting for the last owner of a black Ferrari sports car to come down. As soon as the door opened, my heartbeat seemed to speed up, until finally CJ came out wearing a black polo shirt with a long sleeve denim and black ripped jeans with white vans shoes and wearing a Ray-Ban shade.

A louder scream could be heard and I even covered my ears because even the person next to me was also screamed, as if there was no tomorrow.. "Claire! Shut up! You almost break my eardrums!" I sneered at her.

"She's really handsome, isn't she?! Oh my god!" She squeaked while shaking my shoulder.

"You're really a flirt!" I said and rolled my eyes at her annoyingly.

"Hi Sam! Hi Claire!" We both looked in front of us to see who called our name. It turned out that CJ's squad already approached us, but I only focused my eyes on someone who was smiling widely at me.

"Life is so unfair, isn't it? You guys looks like living in Mt. Olypus." Claire said with a pout. "Except you, you mad ugly!" Shee pointed at Yhen while glaring at her. We all laughed because they would start quarreling again.

"Especially you! I had a nice day earlier but when I saw you it seemed like it was getting dark and I suddenly have a bad mood! "Yhen replied with a frown.

"Don't you start with me!" Claire shouted back.

"You started it b***h!" Yhen retaliates.

Claire was about to answer but I already stopped her. "That's enough Claire, you're gaining attention!"

"That mad ugly ruining the day by just showing herself!" She complained while looking deadly at Yhen.

"Did I start it?!" Yhen spat.

"That's enough, come on guys, we might get late in our first class." Keisha interrupted the quarrel between the two and starts walking, we followed her while still laughing. It's obvious that these two like each other because they say, the more you hate, the more you love. So I would not get surprise if one day they ended up together.

When we arrived in our room, I immediately saw Arc carrying a boquet of red roses. "Good morning Sam, a fresh bouquet of flowers for a beautiful woman."

"Tsss, that's cringe-y!" I heard CJ whisper but I just ignored her.

"Thanks Arc, you didn't have to bother." I reached for the flower and smiled shyly at him.

"It's okay, you're worth to spend my money, by the way, I would like to invited you later to eat out after your class. Is it OK?" Arc asked me while smiling. I heard the person next to me whisper again.

"They have food in their house, why invite her?" I held her arm and squeezed it slightly to rebuked her but she didn't look at me and just turned her eyes to her friends.

I turned to Arc and noticed that he was looking at my hand holding CJ so I immediately removed it. "Uh Arc, Claire and I will have a walk later, right?" I looked at my best friend with a just-ride-with-me look.

"Huh? ah y-yeah. I asked her to accompany me to buy thing for my condo." In fairness, she quickly think for a reason. I'll hug her later.

"Is that so? I'll just go with you!" Oh god!

I was about to speak when I heard CJ chimes in.. "We're with them. Are you still coming?"

Arc's eyes staring at me, asking what CJ is telling him is true. "Ah yes, we are with them. Sorry Arc, maybe next time?" His face was sad as he nodded and said goodbye to me. He was about to kiss me on the cheek when CJ pulled me into the room, I was surprised at what she did but didn't complain. I just looked over my shoulder to see Arc, whose face was red with anger at what CJ did.

"Nice one dude!" Yhen said proudly that they even did high five.

"You owe me Samantha, you have to treat me lunch at the cafeteria later." Claire whispered to me when as we sat down.

"Thank you so much, Claire." I sincerely said.

"Why don't you agree to date him?" She asked.

"I just don't want to ... You know, I don't usually go with anyone. "I answered.

"You have a point and he seems like one of hell playboy."

"Let's not talk about him anymore." I said dismissively because I'm not really comfortable when it comes to Arc and I don't know why. After sometime, I felt like someone was looking at me so I wander my eyes to find who it was. I looked over my shoulder and saw CJ staring at me intently but her eyes were unfocused, it's as if she was staring at me but I seems not to appear from her vision. I just stared at her for a while, trying to decipher what's running inside her head, m but I also regained my gaze because our professor had arrived.

As I listened to ma'am Martin's discussion, I still felt that someone was looking at me. I knew it was CJ so I just ignored her when suddenly Claire whispered next to me. "Samantha, what can you feel?" She asked.

"Huh?" That's all I could said because I don't get her question.

"You are about to melt." She giggled. At first, I was wondering what she was trying to say, but she jolt her head at our backs so I got what she meant. I looked at her and shyly smile.

Claire poked my side as she teases me and I kept swatting her arm. "How does it feel to get stared by my crush— What?!" She suddenly yelled in shock when Ma'am Martin poke her shoulder to get her attention. The whole class laughed.

"Are you yelling at me Ms. Mendoza?" Our professor asked Claire with raised eyebrow.

"No ma'am, I'm asking Samantha what is is because she kept poking me and she's disturbing me while listening to your lesson." I literally dropped my jaw as I looked at her ridiculously. she's putting the blame on me now! My best friend is really unbelievable.

"Is that true Ms.Thompson?" Ma'am asked madly. I glare at the person next to me who was just smiling awkwardly. "I'm asking you ms.Thompson!" Ma'am asked angrily again.

I just bowed my head in embarassment. "I'm sorry ma'am." That's all I said because my stupid best friend made me the one who got scolded. I'll kill you later, Claire. I cussed in my mind.

"If that's the case. I had no choice but to send you out of my class Ms.Thompson." my eyes widened as my gaze darts up to our professor. "Out!" Ma'am said emphatically. I embarassedly stood up and walk out of the door.

You are so dead to me, Claire Mendoza! I sighed to myself as I was walking down the hallway when suddenly someone took my hand and pulled me into the field. What is she doing here? We still have classes!

When we arrived at the field, she guided me to a bench that they often sat on.

When I sat down, that's when I decided to speak. "What are you doing here? Isn't it time for our class?" I asked wondering.

She sat down next to me, still not letting go of my hand and then spoke. "Shall I let a good person like you out alone." She said smiling and winked playfully.

"Shut up!" I said and I slapped her lightly on her arm. I felt that my blood run through my cheeks and I feel that I am blushing. She just laughed out loud and suddenly her face became serious and she looked at me intently.

I was taken aback by the way she looked at me like that so I avoided her gaze and shifted to my lap. Her hand went to my chin to lift it up so our eyes could meet.

I can't help but to look in her eyes. That dark chocolate brown eyes of her are hard to resist. she's hypnotizing me. We were like that for a minute when her eyes looked down to my lips. I gulped hard as I saw something in her eyes. It look likes that she want to kiss me? I absentmindedly close my eyes and wait her lips to crushed on mine. But seconds left and still she didn't make a move so I shut my eyes open. I felt my face was so red with embarrassment and I bowed down again.

She lifted my face again to look me in the eye. "I don't want to take advantage over you Sam," she paused and sigh. "but I want to court you Samantha."

It was like a broken record that I heard over and over again and kept playing in my head. I was just dumbfounded looking at her and unable to speak. She cupped my face, and then I feel her lips on my forehead, I shut my eyes close to savour the soft moments.

I just opened my eyes when she speak again. "Let's eat Sam. I'm kinda hungry." She said while touching her flat stomach which caused her shirt to lifted up a bit, so I caught a glimpse of her toned stomach.

I immediately averted my eyes and sat straight, caressing my shoulder for no reason. Why suddenly it feels so hot in here?

"Are you hot?" She asked. Wait! Did I just said that loudly? Omg! Nakakahiya!

"Ah yeah.. Let's go to the caf, maybe your friends are already in there." I said as I got up. She followed me and we walked to the cafeteria together. When we arrived, Claire was already at a table and waved at me to get my attention. I looked at CJ and she nodded her head, that's my cue to run towards my best friend's table.

"Spill the tea now, I demand it. Why are you with Chrys?" She asked as soon as I sat across her. There was food on our table when I arrived.

"Nothing." I replied nonchalantly.

"Did you know that when Ma'am Martin kicked you out, m Chrys immediately stood up and left the room with saying anything, so she followed you huh?" She says with a goofy smile. I suddenly remembered her sin, but before I could speak, she stopped me. "Hep! Before you get mad because of what I did .. I ordered you food so that I can at least make up for my sin." She added.

"You're lucky the outcome of getting kicked out was good, or else I would really kill you for real!" I sneered at her then released a deep sigh.

"Sorry Sammy.." She said trying to act cute with peace sign above her head and I just rolled my eyes at her playfully. "By the way, what do you mean about good outcome?"

I sipped in my pineapple juice first before answering her. "CJ wanted to court— hey! Lower down your voice!"

I didn't even had a chance to finish what I was saying when Claire suddenly screamed, I immediately covered her mouth and glared at her. I looked at CJ's group at the other end of the table and they are all looking at me while smiling and they even gave me a thumbs up. It looks like CJ has already told them that she will court me. I turned my gaze to Claire and glared at her again before removing my hand from her mouth.

"I'm so happy for you! Congrats girl!" She said that she was obviously more thrilled than me.

"You're acting like I already said yes to her, she just started courting me!" I snort.

"That's where you're going too!" She said, flipping her hair sassily and with a proud smile.

I looked at CJ and saw that she was also looking at me, then she flashes her sweet smile as our eyes met. I reciprocated it with a sweeter smile before looking back to my plate, still wearing the smile.

Haaaayyyy CJ.. what are you doing to me?
