Chapter Sixteen “You look like shit.” Anne took Susanna’s bag from her, slinging it over her shoulder as she ushered her friend into her apartment. “Did you sleep at all?” Susanna shook her head. “No. I spent half the night crying out by the pool and the other half crying in my bedroom. This morning hasn’t been much better.” She passed Anne where she stood and trudged over to the couch, plopping down in exhaustion. “And you went out without even brushing your hair?
