Adriana's POV:
"Whoa!"
This was what came out of my mouth when I looked at the luxurious interior of the penthouse of this devil.
"Whoa!" Oliver mimicked me, palming his mouth with his little hand. I squeezed his soft body against me, hugging him tightly.
This lavish place was enough for me to stop believing that I was seeing this in reality. The view from the glass walls was more like that of heavens then that of this world. I could almost see entire Paris from there.
The paintings inside these walls we're showing off the passions of the artists and the view of their internal battles that they have been fighting with while brushing the plain canvas.
Some of them were displaying the deepness of the passion and some were out of my understanding but outstanding.
The antique showpieces were giving a different look to this place. I swirled around with Oliver in my arms to have a quick look at everything but I had to collide with him. It ruined my mood. My smile was no more on my lips.
I collided him and just like always he gave me the same boring look. His hands were in his pockets and sleeves rolled up to his elbow.
"What?" I spat, raising my eyebrow at him when he didn't move but kept shooting angry glares at me.
"Make a cup of coffee for me." He commanded.
Yeah, he said it in a commanding tone. I was damn tired and here he was giving me orders. I would have happily made him a cup of coffee but when I remember how he has been treating me since we have gotten married, I really am not in the mood of following his orders.
Yeah, I have some self-respect too. Sometimes I let go of my ego because I feel that he is broken but he can't be acting like a moron every time. I'm trying to help him but he is trying to get me in trouble.
"No." I gave him a straight reply.
He first zeroed his eyes at me then he looked at Oliver and then again at me.
"Ok." He muttered in a very low voice and walked towards a room.
I stood there in bewilderment. I looked at Oliver for any clue but my little baby was looking back at me with surprise.
"Oh, my sweet candy. Mama loves you!" I told him, kissing his so soft cheeks. He blubbered something in his own language and I couldn't help but smile more.
I should be feeling better that I didn't let Liam control me but here I'm actually feeling bad for not making coffee for him. He didn't shout or said something which is the only part that is embarrassing me most. If he had given any mean reply then I would have been appreciating myself for not listening to his orders but now as he has didn't say anything, I feel guilty.
What a weird creature we humans are!
Ok, fine. I'm gonna make a cup of coffee for him but before that, I need to make Oliver sleep.
I walked towards a random and opened the door. The room was as beautiful as the other sections. There was a huge bed sitting in the center of the room and the long curtains that were hanging from the ceiling were covering the glass walls.
I placed Oliver on the bed and clutched my shirt, clinging to my chest. I patted his head and he rubbed his nose against my chest. I caressed his hair until he was fast asleep.
The silence was surrounding us and I started to yawn. My eyelids felt heavy but I managed to drag myself out of the room to make a cup of coffee for him.
The open kitchen was right there and I walked lazily in its direction. I opened a few cabins to see which thing is where. I put out everything I needed to make a cup of coffee and started making it.
The coffee was ready and to check how it tastes, I took a sip from the cup. I moaned at the taste and licked my lips. I have made just one cup of coffee because I don't want coffee right now but a cozy bed and sweet sleep.
For me, coffee and sleep can't go along. To have a sweet sleep, I have to skip the coffee.
Holding the cup in my hand, I strolled towards the room where he entered earlier. I knocked at the door but he said No.
I rolled my eyes and opened the door anyway. I thought it would be a room but here it was an office!
Like obviously if Liam is here then there is no point in not having an office to do paperwork or other business stuff.
When he noticed me there, he gazed up from the papers and raised his eyebrow.
"Coffee." I smiled, showing him the cup of coffee.
He held the pencil in both of his hands and played with it while gazing up at me with that menacing look. After scrutinizing for a good two minutes, he resumed his work again while ignoring me.
I rolled my eyes, again and walked to him. I placed the cup on the table and stood beside him while crossing my arms over my chest. He kept doing his work and I stood there.
There was a silence between us and it wasn't a good one. All I could hear were the small screams of his pen against the paper.
"Your coffee!" I pointed at the cup but he acted deaf and blind.
"Fine!" I huffed, taking the cup back but he caught my wrist before I could touch the handle of the cup.
Our eyes met and this time I felt something. This time it was giving me goosebumps and those naughty feelings in the stomach. His hand felt warm and soft and so was his touch.
There was eye contact of a few seconds before he chooses to open his mouth.
"Get out." He said. Our eyes were still in contact.
The way those words smoothly came out of his mouth confused me. I thought he said something else.
"Huh?" I gave him a dumbfounded reaction.
He stood up, holding my wrist and walked towards the door, pushed me out gently and closed the door.
"Oh." This is what came out of my mouth and I looked at the closed door. When I came back to reality, I felt anger boiling up in me.
I kicked the door and shouted— "Go to hell, Liam! And for your information, I have put some poison in your coffee. Enjoy!"
Kicking the door for one more time, I was about to turn when I heard his voice.
"Hmm. The poison tastes so good! You should try yourself too."
I groaned, fisting my hands and cursed him before going to my room where sleep didn't come to me because my mind worked hard to take revenge from him.
