Chapter 10

Quincy's POV "Where is he taking us?" Willow asked in my head. "I don't know Will," I said to her. I'm watching his back as he continues to drag us towards the forest. "Do you still feel that pain?" I asked her. "Yes, and it becomes more painful when he touches us." She's whimpering in my head. "The pain is getting unbearable the longer he holds us." Yes, that's right, we felt a lot of pain the moment his hand touched our skin. I tried to release my arm from his hold but he just held it back tightly. We've entered the forest and he continues to drag me along. I look back to where we came from, we're far away from the packhouse. We were walking for minutes until we reached the cliff and he stopped. He suddenly turned around and crushed me in his embrace. It caught me off guard and I was surprised. He puts his head on my neck and sniffs. "Mate," he said. "W-what?!" Saying I was surprised was an understatement. I put both my hands on his chest. "What are you talking about?" I tried to push him. "What do you mean, mate?" I again tried to break free from his embrace, but he's just too strong for me. "My mate?! Mine?!" He screamed. "Willow!" I called to my wolf. "Is he our mate?" I asked her. "No! He can't be?!" she replied. "We don't even feel the bond, so how can he be our mate?!" "Alpha," I called to him, "alpha Caleb, there must be a mistake." I kept pushing him away. "I am not your mate," finally he gave some distance between me, although his arms were still holding me tightly on the waist. "No, not mistaken," he said, "you, my mate," copped my face with his hands, "why not feel the bond?" I was wondering why he talked like that. I looked straight in his eyes, and it finally hit me. "Alpha Caleb?" I called out to him. "I am not that stupid alpha!" he screamed. It made me shiver. "My name's Xavier" he smiled at me. My eyes widened at the realization I'd been walking talking to the alpha's wolf. "You're alpha Caleb Wolf?" "Yes," he brushes his thumb on my cheeks. I held his hands, "please stop this," I begged him. "I am not your mate," this time I managed to get free from his embrace. I took a feet steps back. He growled at my action. "Don't," he said, "you are mate." I noticed that his eye color was changing from black to brown again. I took this opportunity to get away from him. When he didn't run after me, I felt relieved. I did not go back to the party. Instead, I ran back home. My mind was confused. I want to sleep this over. Maybe tomorrow I may be able to understand a little of what happened. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Caleb's POV I felt my head getting heavier. Then my surroundings suddenly are engulfed in darkness. I don't know how long it was, and then suddenly my body jerked by a sparkle of electricity that shot straight into my heart. My body feels hot all of a sudden. I'd realized that my wolf had taken over my body and that I was now holding my mate. We were standing beside their table. It seemed that Xavier was angry about something. "Xavier, what are you doing?" I called to him. But my wolf ignored me. I tried to regain control of my body. But Xavier wouldn't let go. A girl shouted at us and it angered Xavier. In return, he growls at her, making her cower in fear. Instinctively, the guy beside her motioned in front of her for protection. He bares his neck to us to show his submission. I recognized the guy as my cousin Garret. "It's Garret, my cousin," I said, and he calmed down a little. But then growl at them all. "Come!" he said and dragged her away from them and into the woods he took her. When we reached the cliff, my stupid wolf suddenly turned around and embraced her. "Mate!" My wolf exclaimed and sniffed her neck. The girl was surprised, and am I. "What are you doing?!" I shouted at my wolf, who just ignored me. "Give me control back. Now!" I said and tried to gain control back. "My Mate! Mine!" Xavier screamed and tightened his hold on her. "Alpha," she called to him, "alpha Caleb, there must be a mistake." She keeps pushing us away. "I am not your mate," finally, Xavier gave some distance between our bodies, although his arms were still holding her tightly on the waist. "Let go! You stupid wolf!" I said to him. He just growls inside our heads. "No, not mistaken," Xavier said, "you, my mate," he cupped her face with his hands, "why not feel the bond?" he asked her. "Of course she won't feel anything!" I smirked at my wolf. "I've already rejected her." "Alpha Caleb?" she called to us. "I am not that stupid alpha!" Xavier screamed. His scream made her shiver. "Of course, you're not. You are just my wolf." I said. "I'm your other half, stupid boy." Xavier countered to me. "My name's Xavier," he said with a smile. Her eyes widened at the realization, "You're alpha Caleb Wolf?" "Yes," Xavier brushed his thumb on her cheeks. She held his hands, "please stop this," she begged him. "I am not your mate," this time she managed to get free from his embrace and took footsteps back. Xavier growled at her action. "Don't," he said, "you are mate". Her action weakened Xavier's control and I managed to gain some back. As I gain control back, she takes this chance to run away from us. When I finally gained full control of my body, she was already nowhere in sight. "Really, Xavier!" I scolded him. "Taking my body to get near her!" "I want to meet a mate." He said, "You don't want her, but I do." "I will not let you do this again." I said, "Do not go to her again." He just smirked at me. "I've already connected to her bond." He smiled. "If you will not have her as your mate," he looked at me, "then I will." And he sat and closed his eyes. I raised an eyebrow at his comment. He is really weird. ==================================================================================
