You know that point where you've already passed your limit and the world still doesn't cease to throw you problems?
Or when you've lost a football game but you still have injuries?
Or when you fail a test and you're still called to the Principal's office because you're a suspect for exam malpractice?
I felt worse.
Except, I didn't feel pain.
Life was extremely bleak and I felt numb. Like nothing happened.
I felt like a robot or an airplane on autodrive.
I felt nothing but a tugging ache in my chest.
I felt like a balloon with a needle in my heart and yet I couldn't burst.

I looked up at mother's worried face and wanted to flash her a reassuring smile but my lips wouldn't move. I was tired of the pretence.
