I stared at Jordan's retreating back and seethed silently, my fists clenching involuntarily. What did he mean by he wanted to forget me? He wanted to forget me so he doesn't have to deal with the guilt of what he caused? Wow, what a chicken. I inhaled once more and patted my chest, telling myself that I was going to survive no matter what life threw at me. No matter what Jordan did to me. Soon enough the dinner with the Bancrofts was over and after dad patted Jordan on the back and thanked him once more, they left. He didn't even spare me a glance.
