I find myself numbly staring out of the apartments rain-speckled window while I rest my forehead against the chilled glass pane. I watch silently as the blackened clouds unleash their sudden fury, the darkened sky erupting into bright flashes of light as if the heavens were trying to breach this mortal plane while we sat mercifully below, exposed to its wrath. Web-like branches of lightning continue to strike above; cracking relentlessly as the storm takes root while a shuddering roll of loud thundering rumbles echoes amongst the tall City structures, filling the humid air around with its deafening bellows.
