18 Years Later In The Land of Dravia “I told you many times not to get in my way. That you follow every single order I instructed to you. Why can't you understand?” Drav has been hitting his son Ergon in front of her nanny, Hesa. Hesa just couldn't stand watching him hiding the pain he was feeling while his cold and unlovable father spanking and hitting him using a whip or his claw in his body. “Stop it, Drav!” Hesa block Drav's next step in hitting Ergon using his whip. But, the King of Dravia is uncontrollable. When the whip almost hit his nanny, Ergon steps in and grab his father's whip using his hands. The King of Dravia saw the anger in his son's eyes. They were doing a staring game when Drav mentioned to his son again his wish to become the next leader of the brown-red wolves pack. “Will you agree now to my plan to have you become the next king of this land, Ergon?” “I will never do that!” Ergon pulled the whip from his father and s***h it in front of him. Hesa accompanied him and both walk towards the door to get out of his father's room. “You have been destined and engaged to a wolf, Ergon. If you are not going to accept my offer, I will start a war in the Land of Olvia. Mark my word!” Ergon continued walking towards the door while Hesa is assisting him. When both of them finally leave his father's shadow, Ergon cough with blood. And Hesa was worried. “How many times do I have to tell you that do not use your body to shield from my father's anger, Hesa? Why can't you understand?” Ergon shouted at her, but Hesa just smiled. “You can never stop me from doing it on your behalf, Ergon. I may not be your real mother, but I can feel that I was long been destined to by your side. I saw how lonely and painful your childhood years, and it was once in a blue moon when I see the smile in your face. And I was hoping to see that once again from you.” Hesa smiled at him and supported him in every decision he makes, except that all she ever wanted him to do is not to disobey his father. But, he always does the opposite. Forcing him to take over the throne or killing his kind is not something he can accept. That is why, Ergon received his punishment from his father. It has been eighteen years since then and his father never change one bit. “You can return to my chamber, Hesa. I will go somewhere I can relax. Thanks for your help,” he said those words without staring at her. Although, he's the kind of wolf that does not display or show his emotion in front of many, Hesa can see and feel it. “Take care of yourself, Ergon. Come back before dinner time. I will make your favorite soup later. I love you!” Hesa never failed to say the last words to him. Whenever he heard it, he frowned. True to her word, he was indeed act like her mother since then. She never failed to show her love towards her. What he can only do is to hide his concern and protect her if she interferes with his father's anger. While he was walking from the hallway to go his hiding place, he cannot forget the last words his father has said that he was long been engaged to a wolf he never knew personally in his entire wolf existence. “You have been destined and engaged to a wolf, Ergon. If you are not going to accept my offer, I will start a war in the Land of Olvia. Mark my word!” Those words stuck in his mind several times. And because of that, he also recalled the person who always made his day. Whenever he visited that hiding place of him, he was there, always showing up uninvited in the old oak tree. And now that he remembered him, he smiled and excited to visit the same spot they used to play, smile, and swim. It has been eighteen years since he visited it, and it's about time to go there, taking his chances of seeing his only friend in the land of Olvia named Adolfo. … 18 Years Later In The Land of Olvia “I told you I can catch up to you, Adolfo. You underestimated my agility.” “Oh, really? Then I'll make sure that I win this game again for the Nth time, Geisha.” Adolfo disappeared from Geisha's sight. He was fooled again. He thought that he can win over Adolfo's speed, but he wasn't. It's his fourth year in Wolf Marathon and Wolf Hunter games, the King of Olvia has been promoting in his kingdom to ensure that every black wolves in his clan check their agility and sense of smell in tracking down a friend or a foe of their kind. And in that four years, Adolfo has been named the strongest, the fastest, and the best among black wolves. “He won! Adolfo won!” Every one is shouting when they saw Adolfo step into the finish line of the Wolf Marathon. After Wolf Hunting, all black wolves who pass the Wolf Hunter game proceeded to the next one called Wolf Marathon. And because Adolfo made it from Wolf Hunting game, he continued with the marathon and still emerged as winner among the black wolves. Adolfo was standing and waving in front of his spectators, including the children jumping and shouting his name in front of him. “The second winner is Geisha!” Adolfo turned his stare towards his best friend, gasping for breath, looking at him with deep disappointment. “How's the feeling being the second best, Geisha?” he teases him, and Geisha just couldn't buy his tease. “It's the best, Adolfo. You are one tricky black wolf,” Geisha responded while Adolfo just smiled at him and patted his head then leave the area to see his father, Olv. “I'll see you later, Geisha. And congratulations on winning the second spot.” Geisha tried to hide his irritation and disappointment as he watches Adolfo walk towards the castle. He wanted to follow him, but the children stops and grabs him to play with them. He played with them first before decided to go to the castle. After all, he loves playing with children. Inside the castle, the King of Olvia, Olv has been watching what's happening outside using the power of his eyes while he was inside the tower. And he knew that his son, Adolfo, will always win the hunting and the race. It has been eighteen years since he gave Adolfo a clue about his past. And now that he's twenty-one years old, it's about time to tell him his secret. “Hi father.” The door squeaks after Adolfo opened it. “Why did you not join the crowd outside and watch the race?” “I can see everything here from the tower, Adolfo. I'd rather stay indoor than go outside. After all, I can watch from this tower what is happening outside. I am not just a king, my son. I used to be a black wolf with strange superpower,” he said, trying to convince his son who's walking towards his direction. Olv was standing on the balcony of the tower. When Adolfo reaches him, he hug his father and kisses his cheeks. “You have not changed, Adolfo. You are still clingy as ever,” Olv teases him, but it won't stop him from hugging. “Whatever pleases you, father. And what are you thinking recently?” he answered, trying to read his mind. “Well, I was thinking of you,” he said and turn his gaze towards his son. “Now, that you have reached the right age, Adolfo. It's about time to tell you a secret.” Adolfo was confused, but he was excited to know what his father wanted to tell at the same time. Whatever the secret is, he's ready to listen and accept it. “I am all ears, father. Go ahead and tell me.” Olv, the King of Dravia, Adolfo's father, stared at him. He looked into his son's eyes to make sure that he's ready to accept what he was about to say. He has the right to know. “All right. I would like you to accept the position of being the next king of Olvia, Adolfo,” he said, trying to move away from his main point. “I know about, father. And my answer for that has been kept hidden somewhere stuck inside my brain. Go straight to the point of what the secret that you are going to share with me, father,” he said without changing his gaze to him. And he knew that Adolfo would answer that way. “You are such a clever and tricky one, black wolf, Adolfo. I like your personality, but do not use that to bully the weak.” “I know that too. Oh, come on, father. Tell me the secret. What is it?” Olv just could not hide his laughter from his son. Adolfo is losing his patience on what he wants to tell. “You are destined to be the next king of Olvia and has long been betrothed to a brown-red wolf, Adolfo.” “What?”
