Seven years have passed and Olv is now in his fifties in the land of Olvia, taking care of his only son named Adolfo. From time to time, Olv went into the highest hills of Olvia to visit the grave of Adolfo's mother, lying beside his first love, Oldra, the then princess of Oldravia.
“It has been seven years since I last visited you here, Oldra. I have been missing you ever since. How are you doing here?”
In his human form, he cleaned the tombs of his beloved. He missed her more than Adolfo's mother. Their relationship was stopped by his sworn brother. And whenever he remembered the mistake brought upon by Drav in the peaceful land of Oldravia, he just couldn't hide the pain of losing his beloved, Oldra.
“Oldravia will cease to exist. Olvia will become the land of black wolves while Dravia will be the land of brown-red wolves. In the name of the king and queen Drav killed, I cursed his only child to be betrothed to your only child. Only then, the land of Olvia and Dravia will be reunited as one Oldravia.”
Those were the last words engraved in Olv's heart and mind. But, it was still a puzzle because the child born in the land of Dravia is a boy and his child is also a lad. He was confused as ever whether to believe or not what Oldra has said.
Drav knew nothing about it. The words left by Oldra before she died was written in a piece of scroll hidden inside the cave of Avia, in the secluded and restricted area of Olvia.
He was the only one who knows the cave and Olv was confident that no one would dare to discover that place.
After paying his respects in the tombs of Adolfo's mother and Oldra, he went down the hill and look for his seven years old son, Adolfo.
IN THE VALLEY OF AVIA, where two lands separated by the river named Avia, a seven years old lad was taking a bath. His name was Adolfo.
He was a happy-go-lucky young boy who loves to smile. The River of Avia was his haven. It was a quiet place to swim away from his strict father.
While he was doing a butterfly strokes in the middle of the river, he saw someone falling from the old oak tree, on the northern side of Avia.
Adolfo hid his body into the water while waiting for the one who fell from the tree to float. But no one appeared. He's about to go back to where he left his clothes when a boy of his age appeared in front of him.
“Are you the boy who fell from that old oak tree?” He was to a point at the direction of the tree.
“And who are you?”
“Aren't you going to answer my question first?”
“No.”
“Who do you think you are, huh?”
“What do I care?”
Adolfo was trying to calm down from a stubborn lad. “By any chance, you were peeping me here?”
“What? Who are you talking to peeping in your body? As if? I was hiding in that old oak tree, trying to escape from those stupid bodyguards.”
“Wow. You sure are a noble lad.”
“And you're just an ordinary one taking a bath in the river.”
Adolfo did not respond to his last words and swam back to the direction of his clothes, under the sturdy bamboo tree. He doesn't mind being naked in front of the lad, but the latter was shy and turned around.
“Are you done putting on your clothes?”
“Yes. You can turn around now. Get out of the water before you get yourself sick later.”
“Whatever.”
Stubborn as ever, the lad went out of the water and dried himself. Adolfo was just looking at him. “My name is Adolfo.”
“Ergon,” shocked by answering all of a sudden, Adolfo smiled at him while giving him a deathly glare.
“How long are you going to curse me in your mind, Ergon?”
“As long as I want.”
“Okay. Then, how are you going to return to the other side? You're from a brown-red wolves clan, right?”
After hearing those words, Ergon stop what he's doing and thinking a way to return to that old oak tree. “I guess I have to change into a wolf and swim back to that side.”
“Then, I'll leave you here. It's dangerous for you to follow me around. The black wolves hated your clan.”
“If they hated us, why are you being friendly with me then?”
“It's in my character, Ergon. You must return now before someone sees us here.”
Adolfo was on his way back to the village when he heard a voice calling his name.
“Adolfo! Adolfo! Where are you?”
When he realized that it came from Geisha, his childhood friend, he immediately grab Ergon's hands and jumped into the river, then swam all the way into the northern side of Avia.
“Wow! You're a great swimmer in the human form. You were able to drag me out in my territory.”
“I have to go. Goodbye, Ergon.”
Adolfo jumped again into the river and headed back to his territory where he saw Geisha, waving at him from afar.
“I have been looking for you, Adolfo. Your father called, and I was told to find you outside the village.”
A six years old lad was talking in front of him while taking him into a walk away from the river. Adolfo waved to let Ergon know that he's back without Geisha noticing him. He saw him waved back in his peripheral vision and disappeared in his sight.
“Geisha, are you up for a challenge?”
“What?”
“Let's run all the way back. If you win, I'll let give you my dinner and I win, you will sleep outside.”
Geisha was about to respond, but Adolfo suddenly disappear and saw him changed into a wolf running towards the direction of the village.
“That's not fair, Adolfo! Wait for me!”
“You're going to sleep outside if you fail, Geisha.”
