Marco’s careful planning of a surprise party goes down the drain on Saturday afternoon. He is just putting the final touches on the cold buffet when Morrana walks in and catches him in the act.
“Aren’t you in a meeting?” He asks sheepishly.
“I wasn’t invited to the party?” She shoots back.
“It was supposed to be a surprise for you.” Marco pouts.
“I’m sorry. Shall I go out and play all surprised later?” She teases.
“No. Stay.” Marco hugs her and gives her a kiss.”The others will be here in an hour or so.”
“Who did you invite?” She asks. “Oh, do I need to change?”
“It’s not formal. Just a get together.” He tells her. “Freya and Gunnar, Isla, Sammi and Mia. My pack and some special friends.”
“Special friends?” Morrana draws out the words.
“Not telling. Let me keep one surprise.” Marc
