Chapter 10
“Maria?” James called me out. I was hanging myself of the bed and playing with my hair while James was sitting afar and doing his work in his laptop. I wasn’t ready to go back to dorm and I wanted to have some time with James. His presence filled the void inside me.
“Yes?” I hummed a song and continued to play with my hair. James wasn’t giving me any attention, I don’t know what work he was doing but it definitely seemed something more important than me.
“Don’t you have to study?” He asked as he tore his gaze away from the laptop and to me. “This is your last year and if you aren’t going to study now, you’ll fail!” He added in a serious, worrying tone.
