She is awake

Nathan POV

I paced in my office pressured . I could not believe that I had put myself under this situation . It was a situation that I had actually put myself into .

I was anxiously staring at my phone from time to time waiting for a call. I usually receive so many calls due to the nature of business that I do but I was at this point waiting for this particular phone call.

Just then , my office door was burstedbusted open revealing , Matt my right hand man . Actually he is not only my right hand man but he is also my best friend . But that is rather a talk for another time . There are so many things that need to be worked on right now.

“Matt what is it?”

“Has she woken up?”

“Is she alright ?” I panicked as I asked him question after question . But as usual he was just staring at me making me look like I was making fun of myself.

“Come on Matt . Don’t just be there smiling . Just tell me everything that I rather need to know.” I pleaded but he was rather flashing me those puppy eyes of his .

“Haha , I cannot believe that the most handsome bachelor and at the same time rich young man is the one acting like a Romeo who is madly in love with his Juliet .

Damn it , he would never change no matter what . I had been able to make it clear to him that I could not fall in love with a woman like that but he was not going to understand that at all.

I nodded my head saying; “I have been clear to you Matt , I cannot fall in love with such a woman . She is not my type at all. Plus I think you know how I want my women . You know very well that I could never want to go for second hand stuff.”

I know many of you might be judging me already but of course I don’t give it a damn . That is how I have been right from the start . I have always wanted my women and everything else of mine to be all for myself.

“Okay , I just wanted to tell you that she is finally awake.” I did not wait for anything else from him . I instantly got my car keys and dashed out of the office and then out of the building . All the calling from my best friend were fruitless . I just quickly got to my car and drove off towards the hospital.

The usually ten minutes journey took me only five and I was right there . As usual the first person to see me informed the rest which made so many of them to look at me . I did not give it a damn at all. I just dashed by them and went into the hospital .

Each person let me have my way . I moved straight to the office of the head doctor. I just bust inside without even knocking at the door.

“Mr Millers .” he said standing up the moment he saw me .

“Am here about the patient I brought , I was told that he woke up.” I went straight to the point as I did not see any reason for wasting time at all.

“Oh yes , she is awake but-

“I have to see her .” I interrupted him even before he could finish a sentence .I turned around moving towards the private ward section as the head doctor came after me telling me that their was something else that I had to know before I went inside the hospital ward.

He in fact caught up with me before I could fully get inside the room.

“What is it ?” I yelled at him . He looked scared and just let me get towards my final destination without even saying any more single word .

I actually went ahead and locked the door behind him . She was lying on the bed but facing the wall. She was only having her legs covered .The whole place was messy and one could think that it was a mad person who had acted upon everything that was in the room .

I first stood by the door wondering what to do next . I did not know if she was asleep or not . I started making baby steps moving towards the bed . I could feel the pumping of my heart getting more faster and faster .

I have never been like this for sure .I. being tensed just because I was in the presence of some one new. I mean someone who was even sleeping . This was such a ridiculous thing to do for sure .

Perhaps it was due to what I have had in my thought for some time now . Something that I did not know how it could go but I just wanted it as a try this time around.

I continued to move until I was standing right a few minutes away from the bed post . I contemplated on either to sit down or not but I eventually decided to sit down on the edge of the bed.

I rose my hand to touch her but I did not have that courage at all. I mean everything that I wanted to tell her had evaporated just like that . I had set all my words clearly but just y siting here everything had evaporated .

However I knew that whatever I did I still had to have this finished today so that I could have a way forward and see how things were going to go on. I once again rose my hand and this time put it on her hand briefly before I pulled it away .

“Hello.”

I said with confidence .
