I'm so frustrated that Simon purposely split Scarlet and I up. I know he won't hurt her, she is his mate, but I also don't know what he will try with her, or tell her, and that jeopardizes her and Gracie. Brenden enters the library with me right behind him and closes the door. I hear the click of the lock and my wolf's hair stands on end, I immediately face him growling and my eyes glowing green. Brenden throws his hands up in the air.
"Whoa dude, I just kind of figured you wouldn't want everyone to know about your mate" while sincere in his message he definitely isn't happy that I'm married to his alpha's mate. "Cool eyes though," he shrugs.
