CHAPTER 10 | Parker –––––––– It shouldn't be possible, but as soon as Aiden closes the door, the twins get louder. They skid into the kitchen, and Bridget chases Brody around a table still crowded with breakfast dishes. “You'll never catch me, asshat,” Brody sing-songs and takes off, his sister in hot pursuit. I snatch her up as she passes me, pinning her under my arm. Talk about a distraction from Aiden. My libido takes a nose-dive as she kicks madly against my side. "Enough," I tell her. So she screams again. It’s loud enough to make my eye twitch and my ear drums ache. "Hey!" I swing her up and around so we’re eye to eye. "Enough. What's the deal? Why are you acting like this?" She blinks. "Because.” “Because why?” Another blink. “Because he hid my dog from me." Dog? I wonder.
