I feel like a truck hit me, twice. “Good, your awake.” My dad’s voice came from beside me. I must really be out of it if I didn’t even sense him. Great, he looks pissed. Which means Robbie and Dev couldn’t keep him in the dark until I woke up. “I’m hurt dad.” I whimpered, hoping that would stifle some of his mad. “Should I call the doctor? Maybe you’re still bleeding.” I looked me over before pushing the call button. Now i feel guilty.
